People don't like other moving out of the box they categorised them to. It take additional mental effort.
Definitely do not do option 2. This will sound cringe but 'the king does not need to tell everyone they're the king. It should be self evident." It is not attractive.
Also you should not care. Everything you encounter should be Amusing, Intriguing or Aloof. You just need to try to be aloof to it. Or joke about your change.
Keep it up.

Aloof? What you mean by that?
[–]KingLouhichi 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Aloof means like distant. You shouldn’t be bothered by nonsense. Don’t involve yourself in it

The whole alpha thing is bullshit by the way.

This!
Dont try to get them envious, humiliate them or trumpet your own greatness. That’s serious simp.
Just be awesome but be friendly and humble about it. And Don’t ever brag about girls, that’s huge douchebag move.
Out of this sentence you mentioned:
“listen bro, I got really fit since I wasn’t the person I wanted to be yet. If you guys don’t like the fact that I get girls now, that’s on you not me”
I would only keep:
“I got fit since I wasn’t the person I wanted to be yet.”
Better yet I would thank them for the backhanded compliment.
“Thanks. I got fit since I wasn’t the person I wanted to be yet.”
You should not care about what old schoolmates think. It takes too much energy and they don’t matter. Just focus on how you look at yourself.
Also don’t focus on how many ladies you are getting. Do this for yourself.

Here’s something you’ll actually learn as you get older.
“People” don’t actually care. How you think people perceive you has a lot to do with how you perceive yourself.
That’s why confidence is spoken about so much. Because by perceiving yourself better, you enable yourself to see even the same actions in a better way.
Do you, in the most you way possible. Don’t go the route of conforming just for the feedback of people.

Id get off YouTube and stop letting losers that get paid per view tell you what your life is supposed to be.
The HVM scenario isn't even a conversation if you make less than 100,000 a year.
If you give a shit what your old circle thinks, and your old circle doesn't include a reflection of someone that you aspire to be like, that's "blue pill".
Who cares what they accept? You are who you say you are so be you, talk your shit, and check them if they bring less than what you require.
The only egos you protect are the ones you make money with, and the ones you spend money on.

Do yourself a favor, don’t feel the need to explain yourself to people in life. There are people who use your insecurities against you in malicious ways. Best to keep your thoughts to yourself and observe.

There's a couple ways to look at this.
One, if we're going to play the whole "value" game (shout out to Female Dating Strategy, the neck beard basement for women, who love this mentality), then you're fucking up. If you're a high value male, and you're talking to anyone that isn't also high value, you're wasting your time.
If someone doesn't immediately see you as high value, that means their judgment is flawed, and you're now proving you're willing to sacrifice your time and energy in pursuits of someone who is flawed, thus lower value, indicating your value reslly isn't as high as you're saying it is. Thus you're diminishing your value by convincing someone of your value, and proving them right while lowering your value.
Why do you want to lower your valur or be with someone of lower value, as that in and of itself will lower your value?
Another way to look at this, is from a more realistic perspective and a far less douchey one. Looking at things in terms of value is silly. If you want to do something, just go for it. Who cares what someone else thinks of you? That's none of your business unless it impacts you absolute needs, like your house, food, medicine, clothing and other basic necessities. Basically unless your paycheck or legal freedom is in question, the opinion of people you don't know don't matter - especially if you're a good person, doing good things.
You also need to consider WHY you're trying to impress people that don't care to be impressed by you (and what you deem to be impressive).
Side note, if you don't think Aesop Rock's ability to morph common phrases into different perspectives, than I'll have to show you the lyrics to Gopher Guts so you can see how amazing he is with his lyricism.
See how that probably doesn't mean shit to you, nor are you interested, nor does that make me seem more important for having that perspective?
Basically whatever gets you through the day, and makes it easy for you to sleep at night is good, but I find not playing into any of the original posting is the way to go. The idea that's there's two options is ridiculous. The "brand new car feel" will wear off eventually, and hopefully it coincides with a more grounded perspective of life, and the desire to improve yourself, those around you, the world, and the universe as a whole - otherwise a lot of people just end up being the typical "I'm the best fuck everyone else" mentality person.

This was me. To be honest when you become higher value your whole view on life changes. I only stay in touch with one person in high school. The rest of my old friends can’t understand why I don’t want to spend hours smoking weed on a couch.
For you it should be option A. I only talk about game etc to guys who get it.

I don’t talk about it to show off but sometimes I’ll bring over different girls to hang out with them in a group. Everyone gets a kick out of it. Also I like motivating those lazy mfers.

Haha no way! There are at least 10 girls for every 1 guy with decent game. If my friends learn game then it’s good for the group…I can meet their girls friends etc.

Why torture people (it is likely to breed jealousy, or the jealousy is already there). Just let it be and if they feel better feeling alpha why not let them feel good? If they are rude to you that’s different, ask for respect or stand up for yourself/respect yourself. But get laid because you want connection/to have fun. That’s being the bigger person right?
[–]matrix_vv 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
that’s acc true
[–]cronasminate 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I've had friends that were lame in grade school I didn't see for a decade and became fully grown adults. I've address them as a fully grown adult acquaintance. I would have to be an idiot to assume they will remain the same physically and psychologically.
If they expect you to be the same person you were years ago, they are dumb. You don't need to explain yourself. You give you respect and they give respect. If they disrespect you then you give them a bit of a nudge at first and then if they still don't get it that's when you either explain or fire some shots at them.
You could be the coolest guy in high school and acting like you are still the shit just because you were cool in high school would be cringe af and shows someone who's stuck in their old glory and was never fully able to transition to adulthood.
[–]focus_flow69 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This is the correct answer. They are acting weird likely because they are insecure themselves after seeing your improved self. There is nothing you can do to fix their insecurity, and tis not about you, it's about them. No one gives a shit about you. You are wasting energy and time even thinking about this. Just do you and pursue your best, no need to justify yourself to anyone at all. Lead by example

I'd just do number 1. It's up to them to adjust

Why do you care is the question. Who gives a shit about what other dudes think of you. You improved yourself, great. There’s still more work to do. Aim your focus on your purpose. The mentality/frame you should be holding…. I’ve looked this way my entire life. Nothing has changed. They bring up how you’ve changed, great. Lead the conversation elsewhere.. be a fucking man and stop worrying about stupid crap.
Also…. You claim to be higher value because you look better. Maybe you should ponder that statement and think about what a high value man actually is.

Interesting phenomenon. Friend and I had similar experience where on high school we weren’t so attractive. We learnt game and optimised how looks to some extent and are attracting more girls than the average dude… then we encounter old people that only knew us in the “beta” phase. And I think it’s best to leave it as is. Don’t openly bring up the groundwork you’ve put in to others that aren’t your close ones… unless they ask in some way then you can be very vague… but at the end of the day, you wanna be your best version and anyone else that doesn’t help that are irrelevant. Who gives a fuck about them!
[–]tractorinballs -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You’re 21 - you’re not high value lol
[–]jackzander 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
In your experience, Which way is bound to bring you more success?
We have no idea what 'more success' means to you. You described the interactions, and your ideas 1,2 for handling them. But no one can answer this without knowing what you're wanting from it all.
Also, the two options you're proposing for yourself are both adversarial. There are many more options, but it's worth examining why you've constrained yourself to these two 'score-settling' behaviors.
[–]BigTBoneDog 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I mean people change, doesn't neccesarily mean that they are jealous of you. I lost friends, from just growing apart when focussing on what I considered self improvment.
They are likely happy with their choices, just find friends instead that are more inline with your goals.
[–]Goose130 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Option 3... Figure out who you are separate from your physical appearance (these things are fleeting and life happens fast) and act like a real person not a caricature of an identity you feel you need to assume because you look better now. There is a pathology at play in looking down at people who are where you were that is more about how you feel about your old self and way less to do with them. They may even be happy for you but being a dick to them and assuming jealousy and envy is more a sign of anxiety than it is of them actually feeling that way unless they have verbally expressed something that indicates they actually feel that way.
