Quiet girls are desirable and alluring, but they are also hard to read which can make them intimidating at times possibly
[–]BetterQuit5956 30 points31 points32 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Very much agree, quiet girls are very alluring and desirable it's just at times they're confusing and difficult to know how they feel about you
[–]funnyaccthrow2000 16 points17 points18 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I can't tell if a quiet girl is hinting at me to go away or is just shy.
[–]clumsydick 8 points9 points10 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
the body language of shyness looks very similar to the body language of stand-offishness/aloofness
for OP, if men aren't approaching, they might be mistaking 'quiet social anxiety' body language as "don't talk to me" body language. Talkative girls just have more open and approachable body language.
That's usually the biggest hurdle. once you're in conversation, having a nice personality is the only thing. Even if you don't say much, showing interest and openness to new experiences is very alluring to a man. you don't need to say it in words but have it as an attitude/mindset.

Of course quiet girls can be alluring. By default, most are already alluring because they come off as more mysterious.
But in all honesty, being attractive is going to get you more male attention rather than if you are quiet/talkative. Being in good shape, living a healthy lifestyle & having good hygiene are all attractive qualities
[–]Adadum 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
doesn't the same apply for guys as well?
[–]frenchiveruti 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Eh ... My sister and I are both good looking, let's say/suppose we have the same 'physique' score. She gets far more attention than I would ever have. So yes, you may be good looking, have a healthy lifestyle and hygiene, but that ain't gonna cut it if you're a man.
[–]Khr0nus 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Yes but you also need to be charming to a degree
[–]Dustinoff 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Add to that have a good income (or at the very least more than the girl you are dating).
[–]freespirit1963TJ 4 points5 points6 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It depends on how you are when you are alone with someone that you are attracted to. I know a lot of very shy women (that I have dated and had relationships with) who open up quite a bit once they feel comfortable.
[–]bestmenrmenatbest 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
You just gotta seem friendly. Smiling at people is a good way. I think the only reason men would avoid a quiet girl is they would think she doesn’t want to be bothered.
[–]evitrron 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I find eye contact more effective. Get comfortable with eye contact OP, look back again and hold it.
[–]bestmenrmenatbest 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That’s true too
[–]dinosaur123556 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Absolutely. I have found myself seeing and even dating some quiet girls. The thing about quiet girls is they enjoy the moment and don’t care about social media. And that always spoke volumes to me. Someone living in the moment is extremely attractive to me. Plus the mystery helps.
[–]rohankent 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Can you hold a conversation with someone you are interested in? Quiet/alluring is one thing, but when trying to gauge interest/attraction conversation is important. So if you are approached, you are interested and the persons trying to engage in conversation to get to know you, try to open up just a bit. Otherwise yeah, too hard to read, to much “work” and they’ll go for “another drink/to the toilet/have to take a message” and will move on.
That being said, do not settle for any AH that comes your way. At the end of the day, you have to be you/do you and those who are attracted to YOU will roll around. Just might take more time.

I love quiet girls. I get emotionally stimulated talking with them, and about how they try to keep listening when I shut my talkative mouth to make them break silence.
That is usually true when alone with one. But in groups you have other resources. Use your body language and paraverbal language when you actually say something.
I've been studying non verbal language for years and let me tell you that now what most excites me about flirting is when a girl engages in visual contact with me and holds it before looking away or looking down, even more if she's an introvert, and specially if she's shy.
Being shy can be actually bad for a girl as well as for a man, but I like it too when I find it.
My advise here is: hold visual contact until he notices you like him, then do it again and look away after some seconds. The more you hold it, the more powerful it feels in the stomach!

Look up Song Jia. She’s the most popular girl on Single’s Inferno (Netflix dating show). She’s liked by all the men simply by being mysterious, reserved, and especially alluring. I’m also not a fan of talking too much (no shade to the girls that do) because I simply don’t feel the need to bring that much attention to myself.
[–]evitrron 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I feel like I've always been like this innately. Yay for growing up shy.

How can I be more alluring to men as a quiet girl?
This assumes men don't like quiet girls.
Which is false.
The issue here is one we all have a problem with sooner or later: negative self-talk. You know, that voice that pops up in your head and tells you negative things?
That inner voice has a tendency to focus on certain things and blow them out of proportion. Which is how you end up thinking that men only like outgoing girls.
Don't get me wrong, sooner or later, you need to interact with someone to get anywhere.
So, it can be helpful to get used to meeting new people and interacting with them. You can do a search on social media platforms like Facebook for groups related to various interests or hobbies.
Lots of these groups have regular events that anyone can join up with. Find some and go to them. It's a great way to get used to interacting and warm up in general.

Well unfortunately if you call more attention to yourself more people talk to you, you have to be able to hold a conversation, though if you don't want to approach people you can always advertise the way you look, if you aren't very funny it's OK to have straight forward conversation

Are you quiet in all situations? Can you communicate non verbally? I do prefer quieter women to ones who won't shut up, but we're men, we're mostly oblivious. We need something to go off so you'll have to give them what you think are the most glaringly obvious signals that you're interested for us to have half a chance of picking up on one.
[–]DeJuanBallard 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
More desirable than being raunchy and obnoxious, lude , and loud.
[–]GKoala 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You can be quiet but you have to signal to the guy you're interested when he talks to you otherwise nothings gonna happen. It takes two to tango, if a guy you like is talking to you you have to give some sort of feedback.
[–]FakeSafeWord 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Talking is the least important form of communication when it comes to dating. Being quiet isn't a problem, it's that your social anxiety makes it difficult to communicate with others in a way that's meaningful.
If you make eye contact with someone you're attracted to, hold it, smile and do a little wave thing, you've already done a huge amount of more meaningful communication than some yappy tart will do the entire night.
You need to fix your social anxiety by practicing AND failing a lot. Failing is the important part because you need to learn that your anxiety is an invalid fear of failure.
[–]Maybe_JesusChrist 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Eye contact and a smile is all you need.
If the guy likes you just based on your appearance, you’ll definitely hand out some butterflies.

I am head over heels just bend over backwards in love with a girl who is extremely shy and described herself to me as a very anxious person. I don’t think she wants me back. So yes.
[–]throwMeAwayTa 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, I've always preferred quiet girls.
Which was a big issue for me, as a quiet/shy guy myself- not so likely to end up talking to the quiet girls.
As far as desirable - a big factor for women (and men) is to be physically attractive. This doesn't have to be loads of make up and revealing clothes. But be in good shape and wear well fitting clothes so people can see that.
Groups for hobbies and interests are probably a great way to get talking to guys in a way you might feel more comfortable.
Bonus points if it's male dominated ones - unfortunately I have been in a lot of these - normally the women get a lot of attention. A lot of sports tend to be male dominated, anything a bit geeky, or with machines (ie cars etc).

I like quiet girls :) but I sure as hell wouldn’t know how to talk to one

Become hot and feminine
[–]Shangoinhood 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes, you can.
Are you sporty - then they are meet up with sporty people.
Are you into books - they are find reading gruops.
Your chances will sky rocket if you meet people via hobbies/interest groups.
Since most guys will approach and lead the conversation - try and ask questions about thing about the peson you are curiuos abot: his personality, truth or dare, F8ck, marry or kill, celebs
Watch yourfemale friends flirting and focus on their body genture cues: licking of lips, head tilts, laughter, touching and posture and then just fake it until it becomes natural.

Guys has different preferences. I’m into quiet girls (all the time, I can spot one right away in classes, work places, etc.) and for whatever reasons, I end up trying to get to know them more because they’re mysterious (in a way). My high school sweetheart is a nerdy, quiet girl and we dated for 3 years until had to part ways but the way she opened up to me more and more and how we developed our relationship, how we learned about one another as the time went on, to me is such an amazing experience.
[–]Surfpig86 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
The only down side to a quiet girl is they can come across as snobby to some people. You can be quiet but don’t forget to look approachable remember to smile and if you have a resting bitch face be aware of how it comes across to others. Personally I like the quiet girls but I never know if they are interested or not until we have a conversation and even that can be hard because I can’t tell if they are just shy or just being nice but not interested.
[–]Surfpig86 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yea unfortunately some people don’t understand and assume the worst. I mean you don’t need to change who you are or anything it’s just good to be aware how others may perceive you.
[–]Lifedeather 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes very mysterious vibes
[–]Teleppath 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I LOVE introverted girls. But I'm an introverted guy.
I love em meek and reserved. When they open up it's great.
[–]HatchetXL 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
My wife is a quiet girl and tends to have a hard time making friends and my family took time for her to grow on them. I've noticed some little things, subtle body language n such.
Dont cross your arms during a conversation, it closes you off.
Point your feet toward the person your talking to, it helps to show your still attentive even if your not talking
Smile a little bit if you can, and eye contact when possible
And here's something that helps me, as a male with high social anxiety. Sometimes it helps to just say something like "I'm sorry I'm kinda nervous right now" which has helped in interviews, social settings, and even in court. I feel it helps to show your not shut off, and it shares something personal (a feeling or emotion) out loud and helps break the ice.
Good luck out there!

You have nothing to worry about. Men are so touch starved, and in general starved of feminine companionship and energy, you'll always be able to find a guy, as long as you keep your expectations in check (meaning, realistic).
[–]non-troll_account 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
If you're even mildly attractive, men are going to WANT to talk to you, regardless of whether you're talkative or not. But if a (good) guy senses that he's making you nervous or anxious (or even just notices that you are), he's going to back off, because he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable.
Talkativeness itself isn't the thing we find attractive, but it IS a signal that you're interested, and THAT'S what triggers additional attraction for us. For men, seeing shyness in a woman isn't a turn-off, like it usually is when women see it in men, but it does mean that you need to find some other way making yourself approachable, if you wish to be approached.
Otherwise, the only men who will approach you will be the men who don't care whether they make you uncomfortable.
