Statistically, you have about a one in one thousand chance of catching HIV from any one episode of vaginal intercourse with a woman, without knowing whether she has it or not, and that's a worst-case scenario. You should be far more worried about a condom breaking and getting her pregnant than getting HIV from her, because those odds are way higher.
That's just vaginal intercourse, though. If you do what-what in the butt, the odds go way up because it's much more likely that you'll have blood involved, then. But vaginal secretions don't carry much if any of the virus in them unless there's a tear inside the vagina (which can happen without sufficient lubrication).
Odds are much higher for women to catch HIV from men, because ejaculate contains the virus and it can transmit that way.
The statistics are old and may not be 100% accurate any longer, but 1:1000 to 1:8000 seems to still be the accepted statistical number.

Funnily enough I was chatting about this with a friend of mine recently - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiv#Transmission is a good resource. Odds are actually lower than I thought they would be.
Still, be careful out there guys, and there are a fuckton of other STIs you could be catching.

I actually think it is more because you are unavailable and have no direct desire to sleep with any women you talk to. You will come across as more relaxed and seem to be less invested in the conversation (because your ultimate goal isn't directly to sleep with this girl as you already have a girlfriend) and they will pick up on this. They will think "hey why am I not sexy enough for you"and will start to qualify themselves for you or even chase you without any effort from your part.
Having this attitude of "I'm not in it to sleep with you" even when you are single will do wonders for your game, trust me. (and will eventually lead to you sleeping with them ;-)

This is true. I have an "alone but not lonely" policy. If people ask me why I'm single that's my answer. I believe that it makes women a lot more interested because you're interested in them not for their body. This makes then willing to allow you access to their body. That's not too well phrased but you get my point.
