So 19 year old me thought it would be a great idea to go to a music school. Had the opportunity to get a full ride through college but I was like nah...I loved music and thought it was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Well this school was a complete sausage fest. 3 years of classes of nothing but dudes, no greek life, no bars or clubs. Well fast forward to now I'm graduated and can't find a job with the degree I got. The career guy at my school keeps trying to get my guitar teaching jobs even though I could've gotten those out of high school. Well now I met a woman who is currently in college at a traditional school and I'm starting to become bitter. She talks about this nerdy looking friend of hers who hooks up left and right and she even hooked up with him once. I always thought only the attractive frat bros were the ones getting laid constantly in college. At least thats what I tried to convince myself. Now I have to constantly hear about her friends having sex and hooking up left and right. She said some of her friends don't even care who the guy is, they are just getting it out of their system before settling down. Well I never got to get anything out of my system. I fee like I'm going to be the 30 year old still putting sex on a pedestal just due to this bitterness I'm developing. It doesn't help that everyone here says that college is the absolute best time to have sex and experiment. I love my girlfriend and we have experimented a lot and are both sexually adventurous but I just have this feeling of missing out. It is even worse that almost all of her friends say I'm hot and attractive. I've been working out since high school (where no one looked twice at me) but haven't really been around women since I actually started caring about my appearance. How does one get over this?
