I heard Owen Cook talk about this recently. I don't know who first coined the term.

For those who don't know what it is, let me ask if you're familiar with that situation where you've approached a girl you've seen and you are half expecting to get blown off by her... but you don't! She starts talking to you the moment you approach, but about something that's do to with her needs. In the example Owen Cook demonstrated, he had just opened a girl who was on her phone. She started talking about an argument she was having via text. Now a lot of us would just be thinking "okay, well she's talking to me, so it's going a lot better than I expected" and therefore we let her complete what she's saying in the hopes to say something relevant to her issue. Normally that's a good thought process, but in this case you know something's not quite right to let that happen. What do you do? Well Owen just randomly yelled out mid sentence "do you want to have sex in the bathroom or by the dumpster?" and the girl burst out laughing.

Now I don't know if that was one of his fall back lines, or if he just came up with it. But what I'm merely interested in here, is if any of you here encountered situations where you've used (or should have used) this method. Ideally you don't want to just say something random for the sake of it. I'd be willing to use Owen's line if I couldn't think of anything to say, but it seems a bit too sleazy for me.
