I've never heard anyone competent say to mirror a girls posture. You want to be confident but relaxed.

You’re starting from wrong premises, like taking these concepts in a strictly literal way, comparing them.

First of all, they’re complementary, and there are much more facets to add.

Then, you should read them like a general concept that you should apply it in a way that follows your personality.

A confident posture will give you more confidence, and inner confidence will be reflected on your posture.

The ability to read people’s non-verbals will be used to mirror the other person to build rapport. In other words you don’t need to cross your legs like them, but you can express their same mood with a different posture. This usually comes natural when you genuinely want to connect or are interested in them.

Human behavior has been studied by many scientists in different fields, but it’s never been mathematically reproducible like a chemistry or biology or physics, etc… if you try to do a social experiment across multiple groups across the space (geographic location, hence culture/religion/politics/etc…) and the time (1492 vs 1968 vs 1984 vs today, etc…) it’s nearly impossible to get the same results.

Good posture, why mimic someone else? You should be as comfortable as you prefer to be & she’ll follow suit or, continue doing her own thing

Firstly just by posture you won't have presence. People who cause other humans to notice them are way beyond using good body language. It comes from having a very infallible sense of self.

interactions with girls are closed loop. You say something do something and watch the response. So you are constantly observing for feedback. The thing is, its the natural flow and nothing is forced.

If you think I'll do 1 and then 2 and then 3 you'll fail miserably because women aren't like that. They are constantly re-evaluating things.

It depends what you are trying to achieve at this moment. Mirroring other people make them naturally like you more. But if you feel at this point you should keep presenting your attractive attributes to the girl, handle your body language properly. In general, stay in the moment, read the room and play around with different techniques.

You need to be comfortable and be aware and be able to feel the moment to breathe and be at ease don’t worry about mirroring , you need to let her in your world not vice versa, you need more dates and experience
