By failing hundreds and hundreds of times. You must learn to embrace failure and accept its reality. Once you've failed hundreds of times, you won't be phased by any embarrassment coming your way. True confidence will begin to emerge.

I got rejected by a girl I was trying to pick up the first time, I tried again, slipped on a lime wedge on the dance floor in front of her and 5 of her girlfriends. She came and helped me up :) I told her I was so embarrassed (I wasn't) and thought she was very sweet for helping me up. She ended up being my girlfriend for 3 weeks before she went back home.

I've had very embarrassing things happen to me in the past. I dreaded them in the beginning, but I'm fortunate to have experienced them because after some of the things I've encountered, falling in front of a girl you admire seems like nothing. After each embarrassing moment, the following one will seem less significant.

You'll get to a point where you no longer need 'tricks' or 'gimmicks' but your honest desires will be rewarded for being bold. You'll be able to pick women up just by strong, direct eye contact.

Go and fail, eventually you'll succeed.

Confidence is not giving a fuck. You know your life is awesome enough as it is so that it won't matter if some random girl doesn't like you.

Confidence is kind of like an energy that can cut through resistance.

Confidence is trusting yourself in whatever you are doing. You have to know that what you are doing is what will be most successful in the given situation and you have to not just pretend to believe it, but truly believe it.

If you have a skill that you're really good at, that's what confidence feels like. If you can transition that feeling of assurance to social interactions you will appear and feel confident. From there it's simply having experience talking to a lot of different people in a lot of different situations.

Take risks. Say fuck it and go approach. Read my recent FR. I approached a 2 set of girls that were sitting at a table. My friend in the FR is an example of all the guys who lack confidence and are afraid to take action. If you want true confidence then walk up to a 2 set of girls at a table, sit down, and say something.

Thanks for all the answers, I will try talking to girls tomorrow. A girl just told me right now that most of the girls find me very attractive and my personality is good as well. I got a boost in confidence now, and my goal is to maintain this boost forever at the same level.

Is there a place you work at? I've gained a lot of confidence through work but that was at a restaurant environment.. Overtime talking just seems normal. If your work place isn't a place you talk much try talking to someone, anyone, about anything. Ordering a sandwich or drink? Try to find something to talk to them about, make it as if it's natural to talk to strangers and not something you have to push yourself to do.

You gotta start somewhere so just do it, you don't have to start with pretty girls. Just talk to guys or girls, soon enough you will find that everyone is the same. Sure you'll still be nervous when you talk to a pretty girl but you'll be more prepared.

I think a big part of being confident is not giving a fuck. Everyone has flaws and issues just like you, so nobody is ever above you.

Best way to gain confidence outside of having the right mentality is being the man you want to be. Make yourself valuable and the confidence will come with it. Be adventurous, make great stories, read often, and be someone that women want to talk to and be around.

But most importantly, start talking to women. You need to learn to deal with rejection, and at the same time learn your most successful techniques for approaching and picking up women.
