I'm 22. Since I was 14 my social life has mostly consisted of having a handful of individual people that would be down to hang out if I asked them. In college I finally had a friend group, but still, I usually had to be the one to hit them up.

I found game when I was 16. Since then, the biggest dream I've had is to just be able to get laid a lot. That's all I've focused on. That became the most important thing to me. I chose a big college because there would be more girls. I chose to live in a big city because there are more girls. When I think about who I wish I was, I envision a high status pimp...

There's been a few other groups that I'd get involved with, but it was always the same story. It's been an extremely lonely and depressing 8 years. People just don't stick to me. I used to not put myself out there at all, and had no friends what-so-ever. For years now, I've been putting myself out there - mostly through talking to people in class, going to pick up seminars, and of course meeting people through my friends, but I only ever get the same results: People willing to hangout, but never hitting me up or initiating with me. It's been really fucking discouraging, depressing, frustrating.

I don't even know how to go about fixing this. My lifestyle absolutely needs some changes, and also there are some insecurities/beliefs that I know have been making things more difficult, but at this point I pretty much know that not having many close relationships is not due to a lack of volume of people I'm meeting. I could put myself out there all I want, I could be meeting 20 new people a day, but the results wouldn't change much. I'm sure of this because I've met countless people over these 8 years, and I don't think I could even count on one hand how many people have actively showed interest in being my friend.

How the fuck do I get people to actually WANT to hangout with me, rather than just being willing to if I ask them? Not getting laid is one thing, but not having anyone show any fucking interest, EVER... it's completely devastating. I just want to be valued.

Edit: I'm getting a lot of this: "Hey, man, just be a leader, dawg! Most people are just lazy. Just take initiative"

What do you not get? I take imitative A LOT. TOO FUCKING MUCH. The problem is that no one reciprocates. In eight years. It has nothing to do with people being fucking lazy. God, it's so frustrating when a legitimate issue get's misunderstood and watered down into a soundbyte. Sorry for the frustration.
