For context, I’m a decently attractive male who works out, has a high level career, and goes on dates at least once a week for the past few months.

Met a girl on hinge (my dates are about 50/50 between cold approach and hinge) and set up a date after chatting for a week. From my view the date was boring and I left the date earlier than planned thinking I didn’t want to see her again. She was sweet but the attraction wasn’t there.

She texted immediately after saying how she had such a great time and wanting to hang out again. Wondering if her and I went on the same date, I wrote it off and didn’t reply. The next morning, I thought maybe it was first date jitters on her part and decided to give it another go.

Texted a bit and set up another neutral date. Once logistics were settled, I backed off on texting her as much. The day comes and she makes an excuse, but offers another day to hangout. I agreed. The next day comes and another excuse which, from my experience, was a “I don’t want to continue this” type text.

I understand not feeling the vibe after the first meetup and not wanting to continue, but her actions suggested otherwise. This fact pattern has me perplexed. Was this some sort of thing to boost her ego so she didn’t feel rejected after the off-energy first date? Thoughts?
