Absolutely not. On dates, you should be engaging the emotional side, not the logical. It should be about fun, progressing physically and emotionally until you hopefully end up in bed. If she likes you, she'll drop not so subtle hints as to what she is looking for. Conversations which are logical will possibly kill attraction.

I have to disagree with most of the comments. Nothing personal.

I like to find out what they want, so I know I'm not being manipulative in any way. In other words, after I sleep with them I can feel a lot less guilty since we already got that out of the way. No secrets waiting to surprise me afterwards.

I get that some guys are scared that bringing up a girl's desire for a relationship will somehow lose you a sex ticket or something. Nah. Just get it out of the way, and give an honest answer back without trying to sound desperate.

I always assume people are sane, up until they prove me wrong.

A sane person goes on dates to meet people, repeats the dates with the ones they like, and finds out over time whether or not they want to continue seeing more of them.

Only an insane person would go on a date with the immediate goal of a relationship.
