Bro, you are looking at this COMPLETELY WRONG. Do you actually want to learn to salsa and bachata? Or do you just want to pick up chicks. Cuz if you genuinely want to learn, it's super fun, great skill to have and you'll def end up getting some women bc of it.

But if you're only doing it as a tool to pick up women and are looking at it like a chore, and it is pretty clear from your post that you are, take a step back. Don't waste your time doing shit you don't want to do. Find something else you actually want to do, and meet girls there.

But salsa is fun as shit so I'd recommend it.

I took salsa dancing lessons a few years ago! It was awkward (I have no rhythm) but I don't care so it was a blast!

One thing I will say, is that if you go to the classes and immediately start trying to pick up women, people will notice and not like you. Most likely. That being said, I had several experiences with several of the women where I noticed sexual tension while dancing with them. Dance, for whatever reason, is inherently sexual. I was there was a girlfriend at the time but I wish like hell I was single. Over the 6 week dance lessons there were two girls I KNOW I could have gotten with.

A bit ago I talked about creating a community "routine" and this is a great example of a community routine. Focus on finding activities where throughout the week you are surrounding yourself with different groups of women you are interested in. Now, dancing, due to your scheduling and studies may not be the best one during the school year. However, maybe it is something to take a 6 week class during a winter break or something like that.

Now on creating "high value" this is very subjective and most writing you'll see about value creation for men on dating forums is actually wrong, in my opinion. Value comes from a sense of self confidence and being confident in your surroundings. You do this by being comfortable in the situation, being comfortable in yourself, and being known in the community. All of which is accomplished by creating a community routine.

To sum, if you go dancing, yes, you will meet woman and you will get phone numbers. Yes, you most likely will pick up at least one woman in that environment. Just by being there and by being an attractive male it will work. Pick dancing because YOU want to learn how to dance and think it's interesting. Again, if you are just there to pick up women and not dance, people will recognize something is out of place and not like you or be turned off. If you have fun and take it seriously, that is when women will come to you.

Na bro, you're thinking about it the wrong way. You're learning to dance not to pick up chicks at the dance lesson. You're doing it bc you want to learn so you can take your date salsa dancing because it's in your seduction toolkit and its sexy as hell. If you do strike up a conversation, dont do pick up game. If any guy or girl asks why you're there or how you're doing, just say literally, "I need to up my dance game and I'll take any help I can get."

The point is to get good so you throw some original moves into about 3 or 4 songs. Don't need to be a pro, just good enough to pass muster with a girl who might be an anateur or know a few if the steps.

The great part about learning salsa is that it's one of the last meritorious tests of manhood. You can't properly lead a girl in the dance unless you know what you're doing. And a girl will be able to tell right away if you're truely leading her or if you're a pretender. If you nail the dance with her, she can't help assume that you're decisive if life and a 10 in the sack. Good luck!

Hey, I'm late to this thread, but I'll give you the type of answer you're looking for.

Nightgame at good bars/clubs/parties is going to get you more and hotter girls than partner dance socials

This is due to:

Dances like salsa are generally going to be a social circle environment. If you go too hard on hitting on a lot of girls, it will backfire on you. How much you can get away with depends on the size and social dynamics of your local scene. You're also going to get a lot of girls who are really only interested in dancing or have boyfriends too.
Partner dance socials generally don't have many hot young girls at all. Hot 18-25yos really don't dance salsa. You'll find a lot more decently attractive women ages 28-45. You'll find a lot more hot girls in popular clubs and parties.

Also, just to note, I've seen or heard of more salsa/bachata scenes that had more men than that had more women. The events/venues that I go to tend to have slightly more men. Partner dances scenes generally have a decent amount of men. It's more certain solo/urban dances that more heavily skewed towards women. Honestly, if you wanted a dance hobby social circle that you can get laid from, I'd say getting involved with certain urban/street dancing scenes would be much better than salsa. I really don't know why salsa dancing is the go-to "meet girls hobby recommendation" for guys. It's not a bad hobby for meeting girls - socials take place at night, in bars with alcohol and it's really easy to meet people. But there are definitely better options for that purpose.

Having said that, I've gotten laid the last three weekends with girls I met from latin dance (only one I actually pulled from a dance social, the others were from a mainstream club and a house party, I just first met them through dance). Am I'm not a skilled dancer either (it's a new hobby for me). But they were all older than me and two of them ended up not really my type. (I have a bad habit of pulling attractive girls when I see the opportunity even if I'm not that into them - currently trying to quit this. Leftover scarcity mindset from when I didn't get laid).

However my current dance social scene has a lot of transient/travelling people in it, and the vibe isn't very tight-knit. Lots of people who don't really know each other there, and lots of new people come through often.

And I could definitely pull hotter girls from going out nightgaming, and pull more consistently. I enjoy social circle more though. In fact right now, I enjoy dancing and hanging with friends at socials more than gaming and fucking girls. I feel a little burnt out on pussy in my life right now though.

But like other people said, learning a hobby just to get laid is really inefficient. You're much better off cold approaching, online dating, or building/joining a social circle with lots of hot girls coming in and out that's not based around a hobby/skill.

Bachata is the most sensual. If you go to a latin club everyone shares partners on and off, but if you’re just dancing to the beat and not spinning her, doing all these other moves, you’ll lose her interest. Its easy to make small talk and get really intimate while dancing bachata

Been going to salsa parties and classes and let me tell you one (or two) things; There's nothing more pathetic and frustrating to see someone trying something they don't even like for the sake of getting laid. The women know the difference between a guy doing it for the dancing or for the potential hookup, unless they weren't attracted to you already, it was just fucking sad to watch. Neither of both parties had fun too, so just don't buddy

I have danced salsa and bachata for 15 years. I started because a buddy of mine suggested we go to a lesson one night to pick up girls. Strangely, I fell so in love with the dance over time that I am almost against dating girls from the dance scene because I want to keep dancing without soured relationships ruining my fun. I say that as a man who has learned the hard way.

I don't know how many girls I've met or slept with through the dance scene at this point. A lot. I regret most of them. Even friend-wise, I've met hundreds of people and wound up with maybe one or two decent acquaintances after it all. The scene is based on social status (i.e. narcissism). No one who devotes hours of energy each week to join a community is doing so because their life is going well. Lots of attention whores and dudes who want to pick up women in the club. Do the math. People gossip more than they dance, I think. You will develop a reputation, enemies, fake friends who want to be seen with you because you're a good dancer, etc... Many people have had their lives ruined by this dance scene. Mine came close.

My advice to anyone who wants to do this is to be very careful. If you want to be a good dancer or some other high status resembling figure in the club, you should not pickup girls. Only get with them if it's a serious relationship and she's a good girl that you know will last (which probably won't happen in this scene, to be honest). If you want to pickup girls, don't become a good dancer or other high status person in the club. Just stick to going once every week or two on the popular nights when most people don't dance very well, stand near the bar or bathroom, and make friends over time with some of the girls who are also not very good and are there to meet someone.

I repeat...this is a highly narcissistic scene, and you will meet some of the worst people of your life here, including psychopaths. Be very careful, and stay away from the "scene" aspect of everything. Keep to yourself, don't take it too seriously, and know what your intentions are for being there.
