Saying 'I conducted an experiment' doesn't mean your findings are within the realm of 'science'.

Studies are peer reviewed and controlled. This is someones observation, not 'scientific evidence'. I'm not making a claim as to whether the findings are valid or not.

Couldn't we conclude that people find some perceived insecurity appealing, or that focusing on someone makes you more attracted to them?

The participants were told they were partnered with a good match. This lead participants to expect compatability of some sort. The eye contact did not necessarily have something to do with it. Title should read "Being Told You Have Met Your Soulmate Who Has A Lazy Eye Leads To Lots Of Eye Contact With Random Strangers."

Edit: Actually the title should read "Telling People They Are About To Meet Their Soulmate Is Associated with People Believing They Have Met Their Soulmate."

Love that book. For those who don't know it it's "The Definitive Book Of Body Language". Its full of very useful information on reading body language to understand what people are thinking, but aren't verbalizing.

Someone gave me the advice of discovering her face with your eyes. Continuously moving your eyes around, specifically at left eye, right eye, mouth. This also casts a reflection in your eyes and makes them twinkle.
