When it comes to picking up a girl, the most cliche and overused piece of advice people can give you is to "Just be yourself."

But what the fuck does "Be yourself" even mean?

Whenever I hear people give this advice, I think to myself "you don't even know what that means." It's just such a vague statement and I know, personally, whenever I was given this advice, I was left more confused and less confident than before I even asked.

What I've come to learn is that being yourself and being polarizing are essentially the same thing. Except for one aspect...

Being polarizing means being yourself 150%. Be yourself to the absolute extreme. Talk about the things YOU want to talk about. Make the jokes YOU find funny.

The reason I say go 150% is that if I were to tell someone to go 100%, they would think they are going 100% but in reality, they would still not fully be acting like themselves. So what I've found, through both my students' experiences and my own personal experiences, is that when they start off going 150% they eventually can tone this down to find their true selves.

This is SO important because 99% of people on this planet are afraid to be themselves in front of a complete stranger. You see this all the time.

When you practice being polarizing it starts to train yourself to be comfortable with who you are as a person. I'll even take it a step further and say when you get good at being polarizing, you start to create so much self-love for yourself and that is the true meaning of confidence. Confidence comes when you are satisfied and comfortable with who you are deep down. This is what we are all striving for.

Girls know when you are being fake in conversation and no one is attracted to that. No girl wants a guy to cater to her every move and agree with everything she says.

When it comes to what you should talk about with a girl, the answer is anything that is true to yourself.

BE POLARIZING.

If you ask her what kind of music she listens to and she responds with "dubstep" and you personally hate dubstep music, don't just tell her you like it to try and 'connect' with her. Don't respond with "oh cool. Dubstep is nice. My favorite is blah blah blah, but dubstep is cool too."

Don't do this.

You will just come across like a gigantic pussy and the girl is going to see right through that.

I personally hate dubstep and have/ usually do respond with something along these lines. "Dubstep??!? Really? How do you possibly enjoy that shit?" WITH A SMILE AND A FUN VIBE.

She will usually laugh and respond with some reason why she does, but her reasoning is obviously not going to change my extreme dislike for it. I then will follow up with "Dubstep makes me want to take a knife and stab my own ears out so I don't have to listen to that shit anymore. I don't know how you do it."

Two things to note about the example above:

1)This isn't a script of mine. I don't use scripted, or canned material when I talk to girls (that would 100% go against the concept of being polarizing). I change up how I say it or if I even choose to say it at all, in the spur of the moment.

2) I have fun with what I am saying. I say it with a smile on my face and energy and enthusiasm behind the tone of my voice.

No girl finds it attractive when a guy just agrees with everything she says. In fact, it is a million times more attractive to disagree and debate with her.

I don't mean disagree and debate in the sense of calling her a bitch and getting mad. I mean disagreeing in a fun, flirty way.

Being polarizing is probably the absolute BEST trait a guy can have, especially when it comes to talking to girls and creating attraction.

The reason this is so attractive to girls is that it sub-communicates to them that you aren't seeking their approval. You aren't just saying things to agree with her, you are saying them because you ACTUALLY find them interesting or funny. Or they actually apply to you.

If you can get good at this, you will find that not just girls, but people, in general, will start to be drawn to you.
