It's been about a year now that I've been reading about dating, seduction and generally improving myself. I was sick of being a 26 (now 27) year old virgin. But the more I read, the more simply finding a girlfriend seems like an insurmountable task.
Get rid of approach anxiety, expand your social circle to dozens or hundreds of people, go out every day of the week, approach thousands of women, botch one date after another so you can learn. And that's not even dealing with all the contradictory advice you'll encounter.
And yet, in my everyday life, I incessantly encounter people who have been together with their first girlfriend for years or are even married to her. How come dating coaches and the like recommend dating dozens and dozens of girls when the vast majority of people seem to hit it off with the first person they ever have sexual relationships with? They have the same relatively small social circles, they don't do approaches during the day (I mean...who does?) and yet, they manage to find someone. And even if they break up, many people find someone new within a few weeks.
I mean, I get that most people are more attractive and interesting than me but I can't be that much below average.

If seduction is such a complicated, time-consuming task, how come the vast majority of people seem to have little to no struggles with regards to romance? Is it really possible that everyone else is so much better at this than me?
