When they say "you're a player that's just going to hurt them", a lot of times they are saying "You seem like you would string a woman along emotionally to get sex from her."

Clearly that's not the situation here. In your case if you're really after a GF (and that's great) they may not feel like the advances you're making are genuine.

The obvious response to the comment “you’re a player aren’t you” is to ask them something along the lines of “Me, a player? What makes you think that?” Since it seems you’re looking for the answer to your title question, why not ask them yourself? You should be able to easily turn it around on them, telling them to let you prove they’ve got it wrong (Since you seem to want a stable LTR).

I think most responders here will assume you’re trying to go after multiple women or to hone your craft, so they’ll tell you to deflect or play coy (this is r/seduction after all). If you’re looking to be exclusive and ‘settle’ down, the direct but honest approach is best imo. Keep that in mind, maybe post in r/relationships or similar subreddits.

Every girl I talk to that moves forward past the initial seduction always assumes I have "a hundred girlfriends".

What I've realized is that my perception of myself and their perception of me is extremely different. I don't sit around thinking that I'm a hot guy, I don't receive a text from me that makes me think I'm sexy, I don't meet up with me and have my eyes fucked with intense eye contact.

These girls can't believe that the feelings they have for me aren't shared by hundreds of other women. That's dope. Lol Whenever they say that shit to me I usually reply with something like, "Are you trying to flatter me?! Huh? Trying to get into my pants, missy?!"

When girls categorise you as a player like that they see you as someone who will manipulate them for sex. It's something very dangerous for them, someone who can play their emotions to get them to do what they might not want to. You'll be avoided like the plague.

Tone down your game and make them feel comfortable first. Don't do too much flashy stuff. Escalate slower.

So I'm in no way a player/seducer/smoothtalker/etc. but I do get the same thing from people all the time. I also have gone through a huge growth personally in the last few months and have seen a new side of myself I never thought I could find, and I've probably had the best year hooking up wise in my life. From what I can tell it's boiling down to one thing: Confidence.

Your confidence is high and when your confident (not cocky) there's a different aura about yourself that you probably don't realize you're giving off. Don't EVER think that's a negative thing. most men confuse confident with cocky, when you're cocky you become the player because you know you'll seduce them or any woman you find interesting. When you're confident you don't need that extra person, you can strut out on the dance floor, dance like an idiot, laugh your ass off, and not have a care in the world. You're not sitting there trying to bark up every tree, you're being you and when someone is being themselves it's an instant door opener with women. Women don't always realize the difference between the two, the ones that do are worth keeping around.

This is also a major factor. Most women who say this are probably insecure or have been through shitty relationships or whatever, so they in turn don't think they're worth a confident guy, because a cocky guy has burned them before.

EDIT: To give you an idea, there was a girl over the weekend who was smoking hot at the same bar myself and a ton of friends were at. A song came on and there I am dancing like an idiot near our table. I just happened to glance to my left for a second and see her dancing with friends, we made eye contact, smiled, and I kept dancing like a moron. As the song wound down I stopped dancing and started laughing with my friends. One buddy turns to me and goes "God you're such a shitty dancer!" as we're all laughing. Again I glance back to my left and I see this girl raise her hands over her two friends and throw the fishing line at me. So me thinking on my feet, drops my hands to my sides, slunch over a little bit, pick my one finger up like a hook and grab my cheek. I start walking towards them maintaining the hook in mouth thinking to myself "You're an idiot". She was hysterical laughing. She high fives me and introduces herself and her two friends. Unfortunately that's about where it ended since I had a different girl showing up that night, but the point is I was just being me. I know I'm a shitty dancer, I know I'm not the best looking person, but that will never stop me from having fun. I wasn't trying to impress her, or grind on her, or show off or any of that, I was just being confident.
