That's true, persecution doesn't stay the same. Groups can become more on less persecuted through time and the intensity of the discrimination towards men now is extremely high.

The desire to crack down on hate speech isn't genuine, it's merely a way to control the public. I gave it a chance when it first came out but I've seen way too many instances(a great many involving hateful speech denigrating men) of the authorities defending hate speech when it involves a group of people they don't really care about.

I know when I worked in higher education, hate speech was basically any speech not consistent with the politically correct woke ideology. Hateful speech was rarely considered hate speech if aimed at men or otherwise PC.

Incel has just become a weaponisation of the choice/gatekeeping role which women have in dating.

Which is ironic, because it started as a way for men to describe their plight in a world where they might not be seen as sexually valuable - but men aren't allowed to be victims. To be fair, there was a fair bit of bitterness in incel culture, but maybe fair enough.

The way I see it used is:

"man who doesn't want to date me, so I will ridicule him"

Or "man who disagrees with me, so I will let him know I wouldn't date him"

I always find it ironic that we demonize people if they attribute a woman's worth to sex, but we casually demonize men for their lack of.

Same with looks.

And by we I mean society in general, not the people here on this subreddit.

If you really think "incel" is as bad as the n-word, you're fucking delusional. You weren't even willing to type the latter. While I agree that some people take it too far, I don't recall any stories of men being lynched for being men or women being killed for openly supporting them, etc.

What words we can't call women? Whore is not negative. I love sex workers. Slut? I don't like slut. But women that fuck for free with many guys are women I want to avoid. If she likes it that's fine.

Actually I personally do not like "nice girls". Any woman that wants marriage or love or sanctity more than money is irrational and dangerous.

Incel is an online community of people that refer to themselves that way. The group was eventually banned by Reddit for inciting violence against women.

Incel wasn’t something people were called to oppress them. It was something people called themselves when they joined the community.

Incels are a self-identified hate group whose members committed hate crimes on women in the past. Hardcore incels celebrate these acts of violence. Attacking someone for being born the way they were is undeniably wrong.

Which group of women would you like to use negative terminology for?

“Incel” being thrown around loosely is another thing. Few men who get called an incel are incels, but actual hateful incels deserve the negative terminology.

Men call women "crazy feminists" and so on all the time tho. Btw you dont have to be a feminist just bc you call actually sexist men "incels". Well this Word kinda has lost its meaning. Its meant to desrcibe virgin males (not by choice) and is now solely used for sexist men.

Edit: If calling men incel is hate speech then calling men simps should also be considered hate speech...or at least just Not normalized.

Words are just words and self-censorship like "n-word" gives them more power then they normally would have. Everyone knows what word you mean so it is pointless not to write it down. Writing it down for criticism is not the same as using it against somebody.

I hate the word incel. But I would hate it more if it became the "i-word".
