Not really too much of an ask tbh.leagalising prostitution will give men an outlet to escape the Virgin shaming by women.it will also take away this unnecessary arrogance regarding demeaning sexless men by arrogant women.

The thing about virgin shaming, is women often do it because virgin men make them feel bad.

If men can't be debased as being unthinking sexually driven "beasts", it calls into questions the women's own behaviour toward men.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why gender faculties and the like measure the sex partner count of men as a proxy of their market value.

I suspect it's because these faculties are very 2nd wave feminism influenced, and are generally anti-marriage (even though the gay community ended up being pro marriage decades later).

Society has always had a toxic view on sex. If you are a man that's a virgin "you're useless", "no one wants you"," you'll never be anything"." You're not a true man". "You're pathetic"."you have no value". If you're a woman that's not a virgin then "you're used up"," a slut", "you have no value". "No hymen no diamond". It's all absolutely bullshit and has extremes on both sides. Women want men with experience and men want women with no experience. Not every man or woman does just the extremely toxic ones that push these types of narratives. The issue is until we change how society as a whole views sex it's always going to be this way. Which sucks, my husband was a virgin before I got with him and I would have missed out on so much if I had a toxic mindset like that. He's just the most warm hearted, kindest, and the most generous person I've ever met.

The issue is that society sees things the way women dictate it - And that is what we need to change. For example, If women decide that male virgins are losers then society will view male virgins as losers etc. Since women see male virgins as those males who are not desirable to them so they placard them as losers and since what women say goes - therefore society will view them as losers.

Honestly? I couldn't care less. I always remember that the same people who virgin shame others are the people who cause this world to Fall apart. They are not good human beings. They are the reason for low birth rates, migration and climate change. They simply didn't care and now they shove their hatred to the political most vulnerable group.

Short answer:

Because as straight men, women are the highest validation for us.
When obtaining that becomes difficult for straight men on a broader level, things can potentially get really, really, really goofy.

To elaborate:
Our society tries to play this inside outside game between equality and complementarianism in a manner that gives women the advantage.

Anyhow, men that are not able to marry are seen as a risk. Marriage is what is seen as buying into society, because you have a vested interest in society since you're now married and you want to ensure your wife and children are taken care of. When society is aimed at being complementary, marriage is MUCH more common, because well... obviously you want to have as many men buying into society as possible through marriage and women having children and the like. It basically makes men inert.

I don't need to explain to you what's going on now- it's obvious. When men are basically seen as worthless by women, it's a recipe for disaster. This was gradual, but it's gotten exponential in recent years.

I wish I was joking, but the "reject society, return to monke" meme is strangely right on the money with this whole thing.

I sometimes find it helpful to forget socialization and start with biology.

The “shame” hurts because you (or anyone) believes part of what is being said to them.

If someone made fun of you for being muscular or having broad shoulders or having blue eyes, you’d probably be confused and forget about it.

But sex hits at the core of our biological imperative - to reproduce. I’m not talking about your value system or if you want kids or whatever. I just mean as being a man in a species with sexual reproduction.

In the animal world: Females offer children. Males have to prove themselves to get sexual access to women.

Being made fun of for being a virgin hurts because it’s insinuating you are a low quality man who women do not want to reproduce with.

I think the first step for overcoming shame is accepting the truth in what is causing shame.

Once you have acceptance, you no longer have to do any rationalizations around the shame. The shame feels heard and understood.

Then you can do your prefrontal cortex thinking - these women don’t want to be wives, I don’t want to have random sex, I don’t want to get fleeced in divorce court, etc.

But in any case, start agreeing with what is true. Then you won’t have to fight it so much.

I agree that virgin and single shaming is wrong.

My mom is almost 80 and desperately trying to find a man after her most recent husband died over a year ago.

It's not so much an issue of men's rights as it's a common thing for people of all genders and sexual preferences to base their worthiness in their ability to catch and retain a dick. I think its just more visible from a men's standpoint. Girls deal with it too, trust me.

If you go back and watch teen films from the 80s and 90s you'll find virgin-quests are a super common theme. It was ingrained into us by movies, advertising and culture as a whole. From teen sex romps to sleazy airport romance novels, it's all around us. The powers that be want you to fuck, have kids, buy a house, a car and work forever to support them and a system. As a gay man im sure you've noticed that whole brainwashing scheme.

It's that same programming that makes single people feel lonely and depressed during the holidays.

It's up to the individual to see the forest for the trees and to find a path that makes them feel whole.

Maybe compliment your friends and support them emotionally? Tell them they're confident women who don't need no men. You can make jokes, but supportive ones. Just watch the fine line and don't enable them to be assholes.

Let me elaborate on that second piece. A close friend of mine was very disfigured from a house fire. He wasn't a virgin, but couldn't keep a woman around because he was a constantly medicated ball of anger that could ignite at the smallest spark during conversation. He chased women all his life and almost got a mail order bride to have someone around. He passed before all that, but for him it was truly all that mattered and ill be a million percent real about it : women could look past the disfigurement, but not his bad attitude and inability to negotiate and balance. He was the only thing standing in his own way and for a lot of men it's the same way. They treat their partner like an object, a slave, a captive audience or private entertainer.

Sometimes part of being alone isn't a weakness, but rather a healing period where you're learning to be a better person that someone may actually want to share a life with. If my wife met me at 18 vs 30, i don't think we would be married or even still together.

If you mentioned having a gf it will be a comment that basically says you can't please your girl. Somehow you can still be an incel even with a partner...

Unless the topic is literally about sex it doesn't matter if you're a virgin or suck in bed. But it's what society uses to dismiss anyone they don't like.

I'd rather normalise sex aids like dolls, robots perhaps. What someone will be tempted to say about that is that you don't lose your virginity with a doll, a virtual waifu , a robot or an app.

two things

1) i do not think telling or advising a virgin to go to a hooker is helping, i think it adds to the societal belief that you must under any circumstance get your dick touching a real vagina or else you have failed at life.

2) i think it's flawed conceptually since the prostitute did not choose you , it wasn't really a mutual consent or a validation for you but rather a service like a taxi cab, dentist or a tattooist, a scheduled appointment, a time clock and a set time and set of conditions. And so it isn't really 'losing your virginity' but a contrivance no different to a sex doll but the sexdoll or bot is a fundamentally better contrivance morally, cost basis wise long term and for disease avoidance

I had a workmate once who was about 27 years old and overweight. After he told me his name and immediately said that he was still a virgin, and tbh it kinda showed. I reckon that sex is very important for your mental health, once I had it it felt like my hole personality changed for the better. I don’t know how to put it different words but my colleague just acted so pathetic in a way which would give it away that he‘s never had sex before in his life.
