Mansplaining is when women actively refuse to accept solutions to their problems. I agree we should stop solving women's problems.

If they want to talk about their bad feelings instead of solving the problems that cause their bad feelings, then they are simply suffering the consequences of their own stubbornness.

I can see their reaction now:

open one, read the first 3 words, then delete the email "here is another guy trying to mansplain." It doesn't refer to "the patronising explanation"(patronizing is misspelled btw), it is simply shutting out any sort of dialog that challenges their world view. They have been told that their flawed doublethink is the real truth and they refuse to even listen to the other side.

It's a word that gets used a lot in Australia. An ugly word, and often wrongly used, but a popular word. I've got no complaints about the dictionary's decision.
