Why does learning how to be a good friend and to see people as people and relate to them as such need to be a gendered thing? Socially awkward is not a gender specific issue.

Red pill makes men doubt everything. And you know what it stops them doing? Simple communication. It makes them not admit if they like a chick, don’t show weakness blah blah blah. Friends communicate. And learn to laugh and be silly and fight and get over it. By communicating. And that builds trust. Attraction, trust, and friendship = best sex that doesn’t go away and gets better.

Or they can get therapy and work on what is the source of that socially awkward behaviour and try to improve upon it.

If “thinking like a woman” means not sexually objectifying & deifying women, then I guess yes.

Attraction is not a deep friendship. A relationship can and should be a deep friendship. Attraction is an element of that, but I think a lot of “guys” see that and take it as face value that “women only want gigachads” or whatever, because sexually immature men tend to value looks over everything else.

Physical attraction is more than just biceps. And attraction can, and should, run deeper than looks. It might be a healthier and better hypothesis to say, “men who fail at relationships should learn to better understand themselves and be willing to be full participants in a relationship.”

What does it mean to "think like women"?

Honestly, I think one of the biggest issue with RP men is that they lack healthy platonic relationships, particularly with women. It's difficult to understand or empathize with a group that you never interact with, or when their only relationships you've had with women have been toxic or abusive.

The rest comes down to self-confidence and self-perception imo. They're told they're not good enough by RP groups and that the only way to get what they want is to focus on things that ignore the root of their issues.

And then RP communities convince men that women are the cause. While it gives them an outlet for their frustration, it perpetuates their dislike of themselves and women... which is only reinforced by their lack of a successful sex/love life. It's a very toxic and damaging cycle for both these men and probably some of the women they interact with.

Wouldn't it make more sense to hypothesize that men who fail at relationships should learn to think like men who are successful at relationships, rather than learn to think lke women?

During my life, I used to have mostly female friends. Yet, I never had any romantic success. So something is obviously missing.

Yes, when you are trying to build any kind of relationship, you should try to imagine the thoughts and feelings of the other person. Empathy is fundamental for treating people with respect and kindness.

I think the issue here is the person being socially awkward (usually due to anxiety, deep insecurity, unpracticed social skills, or other mental health stuff), not the gender.

I grew up pretty socially anxious but I’ve always understood that a healthy relationship requires more than just me being physically attracted to them even when I wasn’t able to get into any relationships. I guess I was lucky to see examples of healthy relationships through some relatives and family friends (my uncle and aunt especially).

I dunno. I think my issue, and a lot of men, is that I tried too much to be friends and not enough to put myself out there as interested in more.
