TL/DR: Wife found my Tinder account. I wasn't cheating, but I had flirted with a lot of women younger and more attractive than her. Wife is understandably hurt. I have zero desire to end my marriage. How should I approach / deal with this?

I have a guilty pleasure of messing around on Tinder when i travel, and my wife found my account while I was out of town this week. I left my iPad at home, and had forgotten to turn off notifications. She naturally heard all the dinging and got curious. This isn't weird, as she uses my iPad occasionally. She then spent a day monitoring my conversations real time with a some much younger and more attractive women. She's understandably pretty wrecked over the whole thing.

I've matched with probably 2k women, but I have never actually met, or even really had PG-13 conversations, with any of them. I basically just play it like a game of 'How many hot women can I get to show interest in me'. I never message first.

I created my first Tinder account right as I was finding MRP and actually considering life after marriage. Since working on myself, my marriage has improved 100%. Just to give you some perspective, I had a virtual dead bedroom in January. When I opened my suitcase this week in my hotel room I found a pair of lace red panties and a note that said "see you Thursday". Up until this week, my wife I were both in agreement that our marriage is the strongest and hottest it has ever been.

But just as my marriage improved, so has my "success" on Tinder. My Tinder experience went from just a few matches, to receiving an inbox of messages and unsolicited phone numbers (not bots) every day. It's been a huge ego booster to find out that I'd have no problems getting laid if I needed to. Still, I've felt all along that it was wrong.

Now the wife is angry and hurt, and I feel like I've set us back just when things were really going well. I'm on my way home now. How should I be thinking about this. Is this super -dread or just super-stupid?
