You can read a thousand books on this but if you don’t practice in person you will get nowhere. Best thing you can learn is through trial and error. One tip I can give you is to practice conversation by yourself. Look at any object in your room and try talking about that for as long as possible, then based on something you’re saying, you can find ways to talk about that specific thing afterwards, then you find another topic while you’re talking, you get the drill. This will teach you to never run out of things to say

You aren't running out of things to say. What's happening is you are filtering yourself. You think what you could say in the moment isn't good enough, or maybe you will be judged, so you hesitate and try to wait for something good enough to say.

The skill is to become unfiltered. Learn how to say whatever is natural and not worry about saying the wrong thing. No thinking, no waiting for the right words. It's about becoming a master of the moment where you not in your head about anything. And you just say whatever pops into your head.

Obviously, you need to use common sense. Don't go around insulting people. But, you have to take risks, fail and succeed enough times until you become good at it. It's about destroying your ego around saying the wrong thing. Learn how to have fun with it and practice as much as you can.

Comment about what she's looking at or doing and then branch off from there.

You can really talk about anything. The key is to keep talking to get her comfortable around you. Try to make her laugh and smile.

You can branch off of topics into other topics by saying "You know that reminds me of _____________" . or "did you hear about ____________?" "Speaking of ____________".

You can ask silly questions too.

WHen I open a girl who is attracted to me, 'running out of things to say' doesn't ever really seem like an option as she is trying hard herself to keep the convo afloat. Working with me!

When I open a girl who isn't into me, then I 'run out of things to say' as she is basically trying to make that happen lol. That's her job! (when a guy who isn't her type tries speaking to her)

Family
Occupation/studies
Recreation
Dreams

Also "what's the best part of ..." if she's telling a story. Whether it's her vacey, some thing she likes or whatever

Main mistake: trying to figure things out of nowhere.

For this and other aspects, the best you can do: just focus on building a better life. New hobbies, more social life, all related with healthy lifestyle, have initiative for activities, etc etc etc.

With this comment, and when some other people comments about perfect lines etc, the image given is just of a more boring life (we all have been there); but the good thing is that you have a huge margin to improve.

You won't be short of things to talk about, you will know a lot of women so if any of them gives you problems you can forget her easier and not overthink, etc etc etc. You also we'll be focusing on your personal development, so you are not losing your time; indeed, you would be doing the best for yourself.

Seriously, there is no other way.

Just have the confidence to talk enthusiastically about the topics you currently overlook as not worth talking about. “Holy shit a chandelier!” and then quickly change again, and again, and again, as needed.

Ask something or talk about something that might invoke an emotion. Whatever that would let her talk about herself and do the talking

Ask her about her star signs and wether its fits her personality

Or some common insagram trend and what she feels about it.

Maybe something she hates about ...., having something in common to dislike about is also good.

And just from that rant about yourself a bit and let her talk a bit and so on.

There are a bunch of ideas, I will give you a few examples:

- Learn to include funny or interesting stories in the conversation. For instance, you could say: 'See that guy over there? He looks exactly like a guy I saw in XYZ-city and he...' [insert a funny or interesting story here].

- Open up multiple subjects when you talk to a woman. For example, you might be talking about her dog. If the conversation starts to get boring, you can switch back to a previous topic, like her job, and ask a question about that. If that also gets boring, you can bring up another subject she mentioned earlier, like shopping. It only takes about 10-15 minutes of practice to master this trick.

- A basic idea is to comment on what you previously saw that day (or day/week before). For example, you could be talking to a woman and remember seeing a motorcycle 1-2 hours ago. You can bring it up and easily create a new subject to talk about by saying something like: 'An hour ago, I saw a motorcycle like that. I can just picture you all in black leather riding on one...bla bla bla"

- Some chat templates or routines can work wonders. For example, I paint my pinky nail black. If I see a moment of silence, I can extend my hand and point to my nail to create a context for conversation. This makes it very easy to talk about things like horror movies, rock music, tattoos/piercings, cosmetics.....

It's impossible to run out of things to say unless the other person gives you no reaction at all. In that case, after 3-4 attempts, I think you'll figure out that it's not worth it to continue.
