I'll chime in with some "wisdom".

I am sure this girl is between 20-25. Somewhat attractive.

She is just realising her potential in the market and tests it out. Women love these games from a young age, and when they experience success with them, they grow fonder.

It's fairly dangerous to get emotionally involved with this type of girl at this point. But you seem to enjoy the ride, so good one ya. More vulnerable guys, maybe from a recent breakup can be severly fucked up if they bite.

Some girls naturally do this without knowing it. Some girls subconsciously learn these behaviors because they elicit positive responses from men. Some girls actually read game material and learn this stuff for the same reasons we do.

The important thing is to not let it interfere with your game. I used to be irked when a girl would play games with me but now I find it fun, because I can see exactly what she's doing. It makes everything all the more exciting and turns it into a competition of sorts to see who gives in first.

So I have to admit, as a female, I still do this unintentionally to guys that I'm not not really wanting to get involved but at the same time I do like, perhaps starting to like more-than-just friends. Basically meaning, I'm kind of confused about my feelings for the person, and a bit wishy washy.

A little late to the show, but here are my thoughts.

Sounds like she is having some feelings for you, and are trying to make you invest more by doing these social tests/games, which usually works.

When people starts to do this shit with me, I usually ignore it or point it out as not acceptable behavior. But this is the game I've developed over the years. An honest and assertive game. I tell girls that I'm not look for a commited relationship, only for good times and that I see other girls. But I also make it known that her business is hers and that I don't judge.

A way to not be fooled or played by these games and tests, simply don't accept to play, or ignore the sillyness.

She's testing you. She's throwing those words "friendship" and "bf/gf" around to gauge your reaction. Put that seed in your mind and see if it'll grow. My guess is that she's caught feelings for you.

I don't mind a girl who has an attitude of personality. However, I hate playing the game because eventually, you're going to lose by constantly trying to 'outgame' each other instead of spending time building a connection.

Connection can be whatever you want, sex, relationship, etc. However, you're wasting time trying to think of how to interact with each other vs actually interacting together.

In the exact same situation here, except it's not long distance. She's moving away in around 6 months though so it's kind of similar. Biggest issue so far has been trying to call her out on her games, it's somehow insulting to her to imply she's not being 100% genuine in her actions even though it's pretty obvious.

Have you tried cutting through the games and connecting on the manipulation front at all?

I think I'd take this as an awesome learning experience! If you can put up with her "gaming", you are essentially passing her "tests."She may be testing you intentionally or not; I'm not suggesting she necessarily enjoys giving you the carrot on the string (maybe she does) but she wouldn't be treating you this way if she was needy or lonely.

My best bet is that she has options and just enjoys flirting.

If you want to get to the core of her actions, I'd joke around and call her a player/ high in demand/ flirty. Basically call her out on what she's doing but with a cute twist. Show her that you know how flirting works an you understand.

She may open up and you can learn why she does what she does
