If the pandemic was going to end after a few weeks of wearing masks and staying at home, the thing would have blown over after the initial "15 days to slow the spread". Everyone was on board when it was an unknown threat. In either scenario, the money is still coming from the customer, it's just that with a tip, you know that that money is actually going to the employee. It's not like the employers are just going to start paying their staff more. That's magical thinking. I thought it had more to do with how their laws were structured (as in you can be held accountable for any injury they receive from you and they don't have good Samaritan laws), than it did with any particular IDGAF attitude. People are just used to coming here as an aggregate for internet content, so you can and will find most of what you want fairly readily. 2.) There aren't good alternatives to Reddit out there. Dramas have been pretty good lately. HBO's Rome, Game of Thrones, my friends were telling me that Black Sails, and Vikings were enjoyable. For instance, in the case of child custody, on one extreme you could always award custody to the mother, on the other hand you could always award it to the father.
