I worked taking care of children during the summer. The parents would leave the children with us for 1 week or two and each counselor would have a group of 7 to 15 children for that time (big group had two or more counselors usually).

We did a child abuse course and the main advise was to never be alone with a single child. If the child decides to say something and it comes down to your word vs his/her word the judge will always take the child side. For example, if one and only one kid wanted to go to the bathroom we would take another child with us, then wait outside while the two kids are inside. Only going in if there was something wrong and never alone, always with the second child watching.

I did this long time ago but its something that has stayed with me and always apply.

I just had a thought about the damage the media inflicts on false rape cases. Since calling someone a rapist who is found innocent is a type of defamation, wouldn't that allow suable offence? If anything you could force them to print an apology that every can see. I don't think it would make everyone see you as a non-rapist but it would be a start.

This is just a thought of mine, I have no clue if it would work or not.

This is kind of the same advice given to men in the military now.

Always keep your door open, never be in an area alone (supply, the workshop or workspace) always take a buddy with you, preferably another female.

It's sad but this is what the world has become, we have to go out of our way to protect ourselves against vengeful people (or children for that matter).

Don't date single mothers either, I had a friend who had a daughter of his own and went on a few dates with a single mother in his neighborhood. When he broke it off the woman filed charges against him for touching her daughter. He was already unemployed at the time and fighting these charges became too much for him. He ended up shooting himself, professing his innocence to the very end.

For men, working with children- being around them at all is far more dangerous & risky to your future than drinking & driving. Children & teenagers are trained in making accusations & they quickly figure out that they can blackmail you if they get into trouble by threatening or following through on a flase accusation.

If you care so little about your future or your life to work with children, you might as well just start using drugs. I don't even so much as make eye contact with children & teenagers and avoid them at all costs & I would recommend everyone do the same.
