I think we can put MRAs into three tiers. The first tier consists of MRAs that are open to feminist ideas, the second tier consists of MRAs that are no longer open to feminist ideas but are still open to progressive ideas, and the third tier consists of MRAs that are too far gone to ever hope to educate or engage in productive debate. It's important to understand the three tiers and the differences between them, because through this understanding we can better tailor our arguments or insults, as the case may be.

Firstly, there are the MRAs that understand that women have it worse than men and that men's issues aren't as pressing as women's issues. I call them Tier 1 MRAs, and we can think of them like someone who is first being indoctrinated into the movement. They are usually very sympathetic to feminist ideas (though they may already have been conditioned to dislike the word itself) and are quite open to good-faith debate.

Tier 1 is the easiest to educate on the issue of patriarchy, since they already understand that women have it worse than men and the movement hasn't had a chance to sink its teeth into them. They can be freely exposed to feminist ideas without worrying about scaring them off or closing them off to further education. It takes a long time for someone to graduate from Tier 1 to feminism, since grokking the vastness of patriarchy is pretty difficult even for people open to the idea.

Secondly, there are the MRAs that think that men have it as bad as women and that men's issues are as pressing as women's issues. I call them Tier 2 MRAs, and we can think of them like someone who has had significant exposure to the manosphere. They still haven't been completely indoctrinated into the movement, though, and so they know that sexism isn't over and that women face significant problems.

Tier 2 is slightly more difficult, as you'll have to first show them that women have it worse than men. You can't start trying to teach them about patriarchy until they understand that women have it worse than men and that misandry don't real, because if you do you'll just scare them off. If you take it slow, though, they'll eventually come around and graduate to Tier 1. Getting them to Tier 1 should be your priority, rather than skipping Tier 1 to feminism. However, do not compromise on the truth at any cost. It is okay to feed them the truth slowly, but your education efforts should never include half-truths (aka never admit that misandry do real).

Lastly, there are the MRAs that believe that men (somehow) have it worse than women and that feminists are all man-hating dykes that want to steal their sperm. I call them Tier 3 MRAs, and we can think of them as the shitlords that get regularly featured on SRS. These are the guys that truly believe that sexism is over and that feminism has taken women's rights "too far", and that we need to focus on men's issues now. They regularly use terms like "matriarchy" and "feminazi", and have been completely indoctrinated into the men's rights movement.

Tier 3 is the hardest to educate (if it is possible at all), because you're going to be working against years (possibly decades) of media bias and confirmation bias and selection bias. You have to address each and every one of their misinformed ideas, one at a time, before you can even consider telling them that women have it worse than men. After all, getting such an MRA to a point where they'll even admit that women have it at least as bad as men is a herculean effort. This is the group that usually gets featured on SRS, and is probably too far gone to enlighten over an Internet forum. Do not engage such a person in debate unless you want to waste several hours and fill yourself with bitter rage for the rest of the day (or unless you want to poop-mine and then post it on SRS for lulz).

I hope that this wall of text was helpful to someone. Originally, it was going to be a response to Enkmarl's SRSD post and to fifthredditincarnati's comments, but I ended up going off on a tangent and writing an essay, so I figured I'd make this its own post. Feel free to poke holes in this word vomit if you like, since I feel like it is important for fempirial soldiers to use the proper tools for the proper occasion.
