Some basket case I used to work with once said something along the lines of "Men are born naturally violent and aggressive" and "They can't be trusted since they'll cheat the first chance they get since they think about sex all the time." This woman had a huge "men are evil" attitude problem.

I've also heard many comments from women that men MUST buy them diamond rings to prove they love them.

Well she is one way correct. Any time fertile semen is around a fertile vagina it can lead to pregnancy. If your going to have sex at least be aware of the worst case scenario and be somewhat prepared to deal with if it happens. Though with birth control you can lower the odds quite reliable low, pregnancy can happen (I am living proof). However this doesn't mean that men won't deal with pregnancy or that all sex is men abusing women.

I think you need to calm down, I think she was just trying to come up with a clever joke or something that fit into the conversation. Sure I guess it was meant to be hurtful, but still. I've always held firm in the belief that you should be able to joke about anything.

i have to say , i see the idiocy here , i just dont see the missandry , its badly worded but reminds me of a convo i had here a while back when i was called sexist because i wouldnt have sex with a woman i was seeing without a condom even when she was on the pill , we cant talk about women intentionally getting pregnant without consideration to us then get annoyed at a statment like that, its the flips in logic that make us look as bad as feminists.

This isn't misandrist, unless taken out of context (which is what you're doing).

She was basically saying, 'don't go there' in a witty way, in the same style as 'keep it zipped' or 'keep it in your pants'.

I was having coffee with a few friends - a married couple and another dude. I don't know what prompted her to say this, but whatever discussion we were having crashed into the ground. She said: If you take away a man's power, all you're left with is a sperm donor. Remember 3 dudes, one of which was her husband. Thankfully the other dude knew how to change the topic of conversation immediately. I already knew she was quite the indoctrinated feminist, and she is usually good to be around. But that statement forever changed my opinion of her.

I'm paraphrasing, but she said that she didn't like hockey because the men try to dominate force their masculinity onto each other when they fight during the game and then continued to talk along the lines of how men are violent. I would've left if I could.

Sorry to ignore the question, I noticed this was a picture relating to a pregnant woman and diablo 3. Made me sad because my SO made me return D3 yesterday after I bought it. :( As far as the question, I think all the images depicting all men as cheaters/players is probably the thing that irritates me most. That however is probably because my history with unfaithful/loyal women, but I don't attribute that to ALL women being cheaters as is done to men pretty frequently.
