This is brilliant for us. The article is pretty negative, but it's still exposure. A major problem we face is that people don't think it's even conceivable that men could have issues, so exposure in a fairly neutral place like the BBC is really, really positive.

An excellent, fair article. People need to realize that men are also discriminated against, albeit in different ways than women are. True concern for equality means ending all discrimination that is based on gender stereotypes, not only those that effect men or only effect women.

Brings up quite a few issues. Education, custody, mentions sex and suicide. I'd like an article to just reel through a list of concerns but focusing on a few works too.

Hate this crap though:

While of course poor men were pretty goddamn oppressed too, nobody is saying "women were never oppressed", we're saying "women aren't oppressed" (more than men, or at least significantly more).

Still, articles normally bring up the opposition so they're giving everyone a fair shake. I wish emotional arguments like that had less power, though.

The sad thing is, even if that proved discrimination existed in those areas, she's using those numbers to argue discrimination against men doesn't exist anywhere else, which makes no fucking sense whatsoever. Crappy emotional arguments again.

There are problems with the way career women are treated at the highest corporate levels, but you can't make sweeping statements that all women are discriminated against. Gotta love double standards.

I don't think the quote this was submitted under was fair. The writer was pretty objective, and anything questionable in the article was enclosed in quotes. No synthesis, no sweeping statements about the men's movement. This is the right kind of press.

I wonder what the feminists' excuses will be in, say, 10-30 years when all of a sudden most politicians, businesspeople, medical professionals, and lawyers are women because of current discrimination against boys in education and all the old men retire. STEM fields will be the last bastion for men in academia and graduate careers, and they're working hard to displace men from those too.

I bet they know full well that women will very quickly take over in almost every career at some point because of the education gap. If they don't, they're fools with no foresight, and they have no idea of consequence.
