What else is new?

Feminists are some of the most censor-prone groups out there (thus the popular term "feminazi"), aside from religious fanatics, it is hard to see any other group that is so quick and effective at bullying its opponents into silence. There isn't one major feminist blog or forum that doesn't censor every bit of discussion that would challenge their idiotic and absurd beliefs.

It is not surprising if one looks through the bs and sees feminism for what it is: a hate-group fueled by emotions and using (easily debunked) pseudo-science and lies to cloak its hateful agenda.

I honestly know nothing about the first link you posted or what happened to it, and the second one has been re-assessed. If there's a situation where a post has been caught in the spam filter or removed, feel free to ask why and we'll let you know, or, if you feel it's unjust you can make a case, we will re-assess it. We're all brand new mods and working out how to run the subreddit, so it's going to be a bit bumpy for the first couple of hours.

Like I said, there are new mods in /r/feminism now (myself, impotent_rage, Donna_Juanita, and avnerd) and we're currently working on our mod policies. At the moment, we're generally in agreement with only removing links and comments that are intentionally offensive. Examples of this would include things like, "feminists are whores", "you're a cunt", "MRAs are all pigs", etc. None of those things add to the conversation and are only meant to hurt someone else. In addition to that, keep in mind that politeness and mutual respect goes a long way. If you have a problem with MR or feminism or another user, you can tell them that without having to be intentionally offensive.

If you find that a user is behaving in a way that is intentionally offensive, report the comment and message a moderator (I'm always happy to help) and explain the situation. It doesn't matter if you're feminist or MR, if someone's being intentionally rude, that's not accepted by the subreddit and something will be done about it, so please let someone know.

As far as banning goes, there is currently no one banned in /r/feminism (literally not a single person), but as of this moment, we're considering only banning people who are repeatedly harassing users and posting intentionally offensive things. Before they are banned, they will get a message explaining that their behaviour is inappropriate and they will be given examples and asked to be more respectful. If they don't abide by the subreddit's rules, there a good chance they will end up banned.

If it comes to someone refusing to follow the rules of the subreddit after being requested to stop and warned of a ban, it will then be put to a vote by the mods. If majority agrees, then we'll ban them. Again though, this is only for people intentionally causing problems who have no interest in contributing to the conversation.

If you feel you've been unfairly banned, make yourself a case, and then feel free to present it to us (the mods) and if it's reasonable and we think we may have overreacted, you will be unbanned. Given the extent you will have to go to in order to actually get banned in the first place though, odds are, you're not going to have a very convincing case.

This is basically where we're at right now in /r/feminism, but we have a post where anyone interested can make suggestions as to moderation policies. Feel free to make a suggestion.

Please remember that /r/feminism is a feminist subreddit and, although some discussion about the usefulness/need/effect of feminism is good, continuous posting about how wrong you think it is can get tiring, the same way MR doesn't like feminists continually coming in and saying you guys are wrong. Just remember that /r/feminism is also supposed to be a place where feminists can discuss things without having to worry about trolls and sandwich jokes and, if you're only making a post so that you can show off all the nifty links you have and go on tangents without having an open-mind and actually being interested in what anyone else has to say, please try to refrain. We won't censor or remove it (unless you're being a total jerk), but we all know how tiring it can be to have someone coming in with the same old argument trying to change people's opinions.

So, in closing, sorry about the wall of text, and this is where we stand right now. Everyone's welcome, but please be respectful because, as of right now, things are seen as feminism & men's rights, not feminism vs. men's rights. Kloo, I know nothing of you, I've never read any of your posts or any of your comments.

I have just wandered into this debate.

That being said, this situation strikes me as earily similar to false rape accusations.

People are claiming that someone did something, and that person is now being nailed to the cross.

In any other situation, Reddit would sniff out the truth and murder the liar.

In this situation, the feminists' word is the truth, and kloo is being murdered.

Please tell me I'm not the only one that sees this...

I couldn't give a shit about /r/feminisms.

It just sounds like yet another meeting place for the gaggles of unintelligent feminazi's to pat each other on the back in, and bash men in some way or another.

The title "feminist" no longer holds any semblance of the ideology of equality anymore. It's about women being empowered beyond equality. It's about men being made into the submissive.

It's wonderful if you're a woman and want equality and equal empowerment, but that's simply no longer what feminism is about.
