Anyone else notice that media portrays female on male violence daily but never displays male on female?

I've noticed this for a few months now: Virtually every time I sit down and watch TV, I witness female on male violence depicted. Usually the man says something the girl doesn't like and so she slaps him across the face. Or, she starts beating on him and someone else comes and pulls her off. However, you never see male on female violence. Since I've noticed this I have not seen a single instance of it on TV. In fact, I can't in recent memory recall a single incident of it either. Why is this? Anyone else notice it?
