...each time immediately arrested, no police investigation, night in jail, paid for bail bond, lost one job, pay for lawyers, depositions, etc. After 6 months prosecutor FINALLY hears the FACTS for the FIRST time and immediately realizes the 'victim' is lying and and dismisses the charges, but refuses to charge the liar who caused the arrest.

Someone's lies that took 1 minute to tell cost me greatly in time, money, anxiety, etc, etc. On 2 separate occasions. If the police had asked even the most basic of questions it could have been avoided: Where were you when the alleged crime happened? Were there witnesses? Does she have a motive for falsely accusing you?

Yet legally I cannot refuse to let the repair woman in the house based on her gender since I called for the repair? Or can I? Can I insist on a male repair guy when I need repair work of any kind?

Edit: First false accusation for assault after I split up with a woman and 2 months later she saw me with another woman. 2nd false assault accusation after I filed a police report (required by credit card company) because a former wife, after the divorce, secretly used my personal information to open credit cards in my name using her billing address (so the bills went to her and I was unaware of the accounts) and ran up large balances. When police went to question her for credit card fraud she claimed assault and they dropped the case against her and arrested me.
