Can I ask, why is there a post on this? Does this deserve a post?

It's pretty common sense that baldness is a negative trait in physician attraction, much like being fat is, having bad skin, etc.

Does that mean a woman will judge a man based on baldness alone? No, most won't (some I imagine do have that as a dealbreaker). But they will be evaluating the entire package and the baldness is going to points off that package.

Bald, fit, successful charming guy will still get women (Vin Diesel, for example).

Bald, fat, awkward guy who lives in his mother's basement will not.

Ive started losing my hair around 26 (28 now) and tbh I really love buzzing it all the way down now. I give zero fucks about what women find attractive.

Been rockin the bald head + beard look for 3 years now (I’m 30) and I get nothing but compliments. Still can pull in the 18-24 age range too. Honestly, I think I look better bald anyway. I was reluctant to cut it all off at first but no regrets. Definitely a benefit of being black with a strong jawline and quality beard growth.

Also, 16% of 18-24 year old women is still a shit ton of women. Endless options.

Depends on the guy and the head shape, obviously a full head of good hair is ideal for anybody but some guys pull it off really well especially if you have a good facial hair style to go with it, going bald certainly didn't hurt me in my dating life🤷‍♂️, not to mention guys like Michael Jordan, Stone Cold Steve Austin ,etc., made bald a cool look for guys, again if you actually have the head shape and actually know what you're doing in regards to shaving your head , I see too many grown man in there thirties with a shit ton of razor burn and bumps lol

I don't think being bald takes a man completely out of the game. Sure it'll hurt his online dating prospects, but online dating is already superficial in a million different other ways. In real life I see bald dudes with dime pieces all the time.

If we really want to talk about unfair aspects of dating let's discuss women's height preferences.

16% of men going bald at the age of 18-29 is still a pretty high percentage. I have seen dudes in their 30s who are already bald, and they have kids, which means their sons will inherit the bald gene aswell.

These men in their early 30s look much older than their age. I remember back in college seeing this dude with a beanie, early 20s, great jawline on him, good skin, nice teeth, but then he took off the beanie and he aged 20 years right there.

I suppose that there are some women who find bald men to be attractive, but I doubt those women are attractive, and the guy will probably have to look really good to begin with, like say Vin Diesel in his Chronicles of Riddick era, or Jason Statham in the Italian Job flick.

I have met bald guys who were very popular with women, but these were young men who were rather nice to look at minus the bald dome. I doubt they would have gone anywhere with the women they got somewhere to, had these dudes be middle-aged and meh-looking.

All guys should save up money for the time the grim reaper comes and steals away their hairline, get 'em hair transplants.

Think about it, bro. Would Tom Cruise become the Global superstar that he is if he had lost his hair when he was young, and about to do Top Gun?

They would have fired him on the spot, man.

Would Brad Pitt have become the most attractive man in the world in the heart of millions and millions of young women around the world if he was to shoot Legends of The Fall with a receding hairline, or thinning hair, or a bald spot?

There ar a few things that play a role in how visually appealing (not talking about wanting to "jump" them after glancing at them, as I don't grasp the whole wanting to "jump" on a person from just seeing them for one second) a bald man is:

• Have you seen the person when he was with hair at first? If the first time you saw that person when he was already bald, he would look more visually appealing. I would call it "first contact bias" where the version that you first got in contact with is the best (like a cover version of a song is better than the original, because the cover version was the first one that you heard). Example of songs that I find the cover version better (maybe because they were the first that I heard) Cover- Original, Cover- Original, Cover- Original

• How does the clothing match? There are clothing styles that fit different hairstyles (bald is considered a hairstyle) differently.

• How you are carrying your baldness? Are you standing tall and proud or are you cowering and ashamed. It could be that baldness is not the problem, but cowering and signalising shame ( which might be typical to people who bald young and can't deal with this change) is the problem .
