I accidentally showed my tinder profile to a woman I thought was just a friend like any other. It happened to say at the time, because I felt like trying the blunt, asshole approach, "No fat chicks, no single mothers". She's both. But she didn't outwardly react immediately (deception!). Next week she sexually assaulted me from behind in public, attempted to coerce me into a sexually charged interaction with her on the spot as a fake apology, mocked my shocked reaction when I didn't do as she wanted, then enlisted her female friends in the immediate vicinity to join her, mocked me loudly to get them to join in, and then spread rumors that I was a rapist throughout the community for it. I had literally never touched her. Ever. Never wanted to.

Bear in mind, up until this I thought she was a good friend, we were texting a lot, and being really blunt and open with each other. Got a few meals together 1-on-1, both paying for ourselves. I gave her solicited relationship advice with the man she was in a long term relationship with, and she gave me advice about the woman I was dating. So it was not only sexual assault but betrayal.

When I explained all this to an older (female as it happens) friend, she instantly understood and came up with this mindblowing assessment: "She's punishing you for not being attracted to her."

The next time you hear "safe space" from a woman think "a place where I can do whatever I want with total impunity". Because that's the situation where this, and the other uncountable, strictly-against-the-rules sexual assaults women have perpetrated against me happened. The first time this happened was literally at an event where you had to read code-of-conduct set of rules, saying you wouldn't touch anyone without consent. I was assaulted by the woman in charge of handing out the form before the ink was dry.

The more I learn, the more I experience, the more I realize almost everything society gaslights men into is not only wrong, but exactly backwards with respect to women.

  • And then project that that is how those men got there, because it couldn't possibly be decades of hard work. Nearly every popular female-authored fantasy has this trope where the self-inserted Mary-Sue of the story just gets swooped up by the hot, rich, powerful man, and transported from her dull average life into one of privilege, power, physical, and emotional satisfaction without ever doing a single thing to earn it.

I think men and women are both terrible. Humans can be the worst species. But women's maleficence seems glossed over by society, and projected onto men while men's failings are highlighted, spotlighted, and demonized in addition.
