You need to chat with a lawyer. The legal aspects of this can vary wildly based on your location and situation.

You should also let your boss know that your wife has made this threat so they can back you should it come up again.

Stay in your integrity. Let her act crazy. Document and record what you can. This behavior will not reflect kindly on her when it hits custody or the court systems.

I didn't have a TRO. But, in my divorce decree, I asked the judge to insert language that she didn't have any permission to contact my employers. The judge put it in there.

My situation was not quite the same as yours, but she did e-mail my boss at one point with a lengthy diatribe. I used up all my "credit" at work to clean up the mess. Lovely.

Her acting crazy mostly helps you if you can document it. Record everything, install cameras in the house. Be ready to hit record on your phone.

I am sorry you went through that but you handled it right. Even though this is a giant shit sandwich of a situation by handling it right you will come out on top in the end. Are you divorcing or are you here to vent because you think you might want to?

Take it from someone that's already lived through this situation and learned some very hard lessons. She's going to try and manipulate you later on down the line, she's going to try and make you feel guilty about her actions, and she's going to twist and distort reality to get out of the consequences of her own actions. Don't let her verbally abuse you and make you feel bad about this situation. While I understand there are two sides to a story here, there's very little she could say that would justify her actions, even in the slightest of margins.

If you're not divorcing, now sounds like a perfect time. When she gets out of jail she will have an bond that stipulates what she can and can not do in relation to you. Most likely it will be no contact, unless you have kids. You can obtain that information legally and should not need a lawyer. Someone, most likely a detective should have contacted you about this by now. If not, be proactive, and get that document. The MOMENT she violates that, call the police.

Don't play games. She needs to learn how to regulate her emotions and not be an abusive person. Only thing you can do is protect yourself. You don't need to find yourself in a situation where she sets you up to be the abuser and gets you in jail.

Sounds to me like you're on the right path. You can do it! Be strong!
