Marriage ended "abruptly" 3 years ago. She had someone new in the wings and wasted no time. We had a 20 year relationship and also share 4 boys. Never any horrible issues and the usual marriage issues like bills, food, and such. I'm trying to say I was completely blindsided by a woman who I gave myself to completely and it broke me along with the financial ruin and possession loss. 50 years old and starting over like I was 20 all over. No credit, no savings, but what eats at my mind and has for 3 years is why and how I can just move on from it. I love the kids and I do the father things as best as I can. She has never messed with that. I find myself thinking she just "acted out" and now she's over her head, but that's not the truth at all. How do I put this to rest? My friends and family have never been there for me since this went down. My therapist saved me from ending things, but IMO hasn't helped me to learn to stop "fantasizing" that there is still a chance. Any tricks, thought, or things to help me to just put a fork into all this?
