For the uninitiated, that paragraph on men and friendship is from a french novel called "The Little Prince". It is a good read for kids to show them the value of relationships/loyalty and friendship.

This lady is still a kid at heart and needs to learn the lessons of friendship, so makes sense that she has it in her bio. Although, it is almost a decade too late to look for friendship. Too late, so sad.

Just briefly dated a 33 year old, and this shit we read all the time on here isn’t anecdotal at all.

This one was introduced to me by a family friend, so I was open to it. She seemed a bit different…no social media, down to earth, great sense of humor. But eventually I got to see that she’s had no real relationship (longest relationship was a year), she kept saying she would “never settle” and complained how OLD was discouraging and she was set up on a bad date a couple weeks back. She also had no real hobbies other than smoking weed and getting back into Sex and the City. Also the “men don’t put in enough effort” came out as well, despite me putting in a ton of effort that I normally would not.

I thought our first couple dates went extremely well. We were vibing and laughing the whole night, she seemed attracted to me (kept touching me, playing with my hair, she kissed me at the end of the night) and we shared our thoughts on life. She was also going through some stuff with a sick family member, so I tried to let her know that I was there for her without being overbearing.

We live 2 hours away in separate states, but knew this going in and that it would be a challenge. After our second date she canceled plans for the next day then told me that the distance thing “just wouldn’t work for her”. I’m a 6’2 man, decent-looking, and in shape with a six figure salary, but the inconvenience of a 2 hour drive apparently was enough to throw in the towel after a couple weeks. Her looks weren’t out of my league either (at least in my mind).

Sorry for the rant (and thanks to anybody reading this), but the point is that many of these chicks are just broken. Nothing is ever good enough, and they keep holding out for “something better”. They put in little effort, then quickly pull the plug for whatever reason.

Like, really: The world we live in, especially when it comes to dating and genderrelations is actually way too fucking complicated. Look at all this shit: social media, cancelling, metoo, porn, etc.

So she is right, I think. A lot of men simply don't understand this world anymore. And we don't have time to do the "research" because we're busy keeping our shit together. And in many cases the shit of the people around us.
