hooks explains that all feminism is radical feminism. That it is not about gender equality, but about completely changing society.
She explains that feminism was developed by hurt and broken women using 'consciousness raising' as therapy. 'Consciousness raising' is basically indoctrination.
She identifies the things that feminists got wrong, and explains how feminism needs to change. The book is 20 years old. Not much has changed.
She denies 'true feminism' is about hating men, but constantly describes men as being awful people, who need to change.
She describes feminism in very religious terms, and even has a chapter of feminist spirituality.
Particularly interesting to men was how she describes 'feminist theory'. It's not theories about how the world works, it's mental gymnastics to map their preconceived ideas onto reality. Feminist theory is produced to enable ongoing 'critical consciousness'.

Personnel attack from the expression of thought, how noble of you. Well then since this is what we have come to, I won't hold back.
The premise of this book being that is expressed repeatedly that men are being quote "awful people" is one of sexism and a bigoted place of hate and intolerance. Imagine being for a book that has such a tone to be advocated in a forum meant to support the rights of men. I'm sorry you don't seem to understand the idea that coming from a place of intolerance for men is not a place that should be in an equal society. The tone of the book being recommended is quite disturbing as it is quite contradictory in many instances. OP's recommendation of said book where they also post contradictions within the first post as well. Did you miss that or are too prideful and arrogant to admit you missed it? Are you of too little intelligence to have understood the contradiction or did you not read the post? Maybe you didn't seem to read the text and understand the tone.
OP says this book is amazing, this complimenting it and in turn judging it in the positive is to share the ideas of it's contents as a good thing.
Paragraph one states clearly that this is not about equality and that all feminism is radical. So its not about gender equality nor is it about the advocation of men's rights. How is this the place form something that does not advocate for men's rights considering this is a men's rights group?
Paragraph two states that femism was developed by hurt and broken women using quote "basically indoctrination". So if it is a bad thing and it is basically indoctrination by hurt and broken women, how could this possibly be a good thing to support? Theory that prevents people from thinking and indoctrinates from the premise of hurt and broken, how this is "amazing" to be lead by such a blinded ideology. Furthermore to advocate for that blinded and hurtful ideology in a men's rights group. How do you not understand this?
Paragraph three states that femism needs to change. That is maybe the only part that wasn't completely nonsensical. Yes it does need to change because feminism is quite toxic and bigoted towards men. A large base of feminists are very much misandrist types.
Paragraph four states it's not about hating men, but then describes men as being awful people that need to change. There is nothing more bigoted and sexist about judging an entire group of 3+billion as bad based on the perceived interpretation of the actions of a fractional few. Are there shitty men who need to change? Sure, there are. Just as there are shitty women who need to change. However, to label over there billion people a certain way without knowing the context of their heart or character is demeaning and toxic. Yet you seem to be for this OP and the book that clearly is stating those so many people of over 3 billion are just wrong and need to change. Seriously, are you okay? Are you having some crisis that you need help with?
Paragraph five is quite alarming. The idea that a particular idea reaches the level of spirituality and of religion is very much what a cult would do. It's giving me strong indication of cultic thinking. Considering the entire premise of quote "basically indoctrination".
Paragraph six, yeah I shouldn't even have.to explain.
The thing you and everyone else downvoting needs to accept is that, in a text forum with strangers, sarcasm is not translatable so you are left with having to take these words at face value because you cannot interpret the words of others who you don't know and try to say they mean x. You dont know others yet you try to proclaim ideas based on your own bias? Yeah go ahead and argue or downvote because the substance of your retort is severely lacking. Spoken like a phony internet men's rights advocate who has never actually done anything to help improve the environment. You speak as someone who has never shown up to men's rights protests or used your ability to pressure political leaders to change or enact laws that improve the lives of men.

Well considering I've actually been to protests, rallies, and public events advocating for men's rights I life time, no I think I'm good.
Also considering that I routinely petition my legislatures on a local, state, and federal level to support or advocate for legislation that improves the life of men, I think I'm good.
A lot of people talk big game on Reddit, but actually do nothing other than complain and post of social media. If you want change, you have to do more than just post on social media. Maybe others should get out into the world and take actions that pressure politicians to I don't know, actually pass laws that benefits men?

Are you okay? It appears that you don't know how to read. I literally said how to participate.
Attend protests, rallies, and events that advocate for men's rights.
Write your elected officials to support legislation that improves the life of men.
Write you elected officials stating your desire to have them introduce legislation that improves the life of men.
Attend town halls with elected officials and speak up.

The only thing that is painful is the belief that one can interpret sarcasm from complete strangers. I prefer not to infer or imply, nor pretend to understand what is or isn't sarcasm from a stranger on the internet. Assuming is the problem, regardless of the number of people who assume.
Perhaps you fail to understand that when you assume you make an ass out of you.

The only lack of reading comprehension that is present is yours. The real show of lack of substance is your lack of ability to refute on merit instead of unintelligently responses of insult. Perhaps you're not used to having debates with those who actually possess high intelligence? The evidence of your responses surely dictate such.

You're entire basis is that words don't mean what words mean. Instead, people should be able to read the minds of others and automatically know when something is sarcastic without knowing anything about a person other than text on the internet.
Since you don't seem to understand words mean what they mean here is the definition of the words amazing:
