It's only recently I realised just how feminist my school education was. For example ALL of the topics in my A-level Spanish course were female focused.

Both books and both films we had to learn about were feminist pieces, and every conversation topic in class was about women: Domestic violence in Spain (which is only done to women, of course), international women's day, female actors being paid less than male ones, etc.

This is massively detrimental to boys' learning, because they know they have to either parrot the "correct" line or be shunned by the whole class. So in reality the boys just mentally check out, only saying the bare minimum to get the conversation to end.

There is no problem with the assignment per se. It's fine to ask students to analyze something from a specific point of view. It would only be problematic if that is the point of view the student is asked to take by default, or most of the time. A good teacher would highlight a variety of ways to analyze a text.

Also, I don't believe for one minute the story about a fourteen-year-old getting a grade 11 assignment. Yes, there is a lot of feminist (and general woke) indoctrination going on in Western schools. But let's stay critical.

Feminist critical theory is really the only acceptable form of feminism in school because it's recognized as just one way to interpret a text.

It's more of a mental exercise and not really like your usual feminist propaganda.

I mean we're talking about the same academic discipline that talks about the unconscious of the text itself. This isn't really about social justice type feminism but critical lit. If you go far enough in, sure, it gets lost up its own ass but at a high-school level, it's nothing.

I clicked on a bunch of your links and honestly the link itself didn't seem to match the description or what you seemed to want it to be.

It's not easy being a men's advocate.

In a society where you're told that you're evil for simply questioning feminism, it's easy to feel that you're doing something wrong for criticizing it.

So while I can appreciate the emotional drive to smear the truth slightly, to make your case iron-clad, I want you to know that you don't need to do that.

Feminism hurts men. It's objective fact, easily provable from a multitude of directions, that's been hidden away because feminists want to believe that they're healthy bigots, spreading hate for noble causes.

We don't need to build a case; we just need to reveal reality.

Lastly, I'm a father and I'm raising my children to be critical thinkers because it's the same system of thought that overthrew the tyranny of religion and works just as well on the secular off-brand version of religion being hawked by feminists in our schools, in our governments and in our streets.

I heard that this particular case is much more complex than the headline makes it seem. I haven't seen any proof of this woman being a feminist and her act seems more like the result of poor mental health caused by horrific abuse.

That's what I HEARD. The article itself doesn't say much. If anyone knows more than I do about this case, please comment. We can't jump to conclusions with a crime like this without knowing all the details.

There is nothing wrong with that assignment. They were learning about different critical theories and had to apply that knowledge. The assignment does not get him to "write about why feminism is a great movement and how The Great Gatsby is patriarchal and sexist", (it allows him to argue the opposite) it asks him to evaluate the text in a feminist framework, and there's nothing really wrong with that. Such an essay could be written entirely externally of that framework without him believing in it. I think we need some intellectual honesty here.

If anything, teaching kids about feminist critical theory, as a framework as opposed to objective fact, will equip them to make more informed criticisms of feminist theory, which is something we are in need of.

After 19 years of life and seeing lot of depressed blys and happy girls. Girls being promoted and pushed to express themselves while boys being judged and punished for every self expression. The predatory nature of current society and how society(other mem) preys on innocent men and just general decrease of any male on male support (probably a bigger problem in my country). Seeing both me and my brother's social life getting ruined by our parents and later society.

Biggest revelation was how easy it is to grow a female child compared to a male child. My parents would be a great and wonderful parents if I was born as a girl (there was even a period where my mom kinda hated me for being ugly). My father never teached me anything about society or anything at all. And when I learned it myself, I had to go through traumatizing experiences. My father himself is kinda gynocentric and treats girls much better than boys and generally hates me and likes other kids.

Now I realise how tough it is to raise a male child and how big of a responsibility it is. Especially if he's born even slightly neuro divergent or even slight beneath the standard of looks, he's fucked. On some fringe sites, I even see fellow men advocating for just aborting male children as they've lost all hope and they'll just bring another unhappy man into this World. I explaine this to my gf and she understands all of it and if I do end up having any child, I'll try my best to raise him well. As fathers we should also teach our wives/girlfriends and daughters about male problems and empathy towards them.

I don't know, but I kinda find this ”feminists bad” stuff stale and not inellectually, but emotionally, engagin.. Not that it's bad to post it tho, it's just that I'd prefer somethin like a critique of intersectional feminism as opposed to this.

Around the time that I finished middle school and started high school, I'd learned that it was beneficial for me to 'keep my head down' as it were.

There were some opportunities for me to launch into some "controversial" subjects for essay topics and such (most notably infant circumcision), but I always tended to play it safe because I didn't want to risk it.
