So it looks like I’ll be going on my first date since my separation. I joined four OLD sites. I’ve gotten a few likes and chats, but most of them either get cold feet and don’t continue chatting, or they’re crypto-scammers, most of which seem to be masquerading as attractive 20s-to-30s Asian women.

So when I got a like from this one, my guard was up. Sure enough, she was an attractive Asian in her 30s. We started chatting in the app, and I shared my catfishing story. I thought for sure she’d be offended and tell me to f**k off, or start pitching me on the virtues of cryptocurrency. LOL.

I’m not a bad-looking guy, but I’m no Adonis. I’m a mid-40s bald dude with a dad bod (even though ironically, I’m not a dad). I should probably be more confident in myself, but I’m honestly surprised she’s interested in me. She’s college-educated, supposedly has a DDS (yep, a dentist), and seems sweet, smart and gorgeous.

I’m trying to manage my expectations, but I have to admit I’m pretty excited at this turn of events, and the fact that she seems to be so high-caliber. Will give the post-game recap if/when this happens. 🤞🏼🙂
