The sex strike is based on the sexist assumption reinforced in our culture that men are more reliant on sex than women, that they are like sex hungry beasts roaming the streets in search of willing females. It’s not true and such a sex strike would affect men no more than women.

Many of the men I’ve known aren’t having regular sex and haven’t been any more than mildly disappointed about it. I‘ve been celibate by choice for decades and am even very happy about it. My feelings are ‘been there done that’.
