I say this as a guy who thought he did, but is questioning himself a little bit. What I mean by the feminine role in a relationship is being the submissive partner, being the homemaker, the nurturer, the weaker one, and so on. Masculine role is being the breadwinner (at least the one earning more money), the dominant partner, the stronger one, and so on.

I'm going to be honest, as a man, I absolutely LOATHE the thought of being in the masculine role. I don't want to be the leader or even the stronger one between me and my girl. Hell, I even hate the thought of being PHYSICALLY stronger...most of the time.

I say that because there have been times when I want to be strong, I want to be tougher, better at fighting, more muscular, and wanting to be seen as a protector. Mainly because at the moment, I'm dealing with some confidence issues and insecurity.

There are times when I want to feel useful and respectable, but in 98% of cases, I want to be with a gal who is strong (especially physically), masculine, boyish, and that I can look up to. Basically, I want to play the "feminine" role in a relationship. Or I thought I wanted to, because sometimes I want to be stronger and masculine because I want to feel better about myself. I want to feel more respectable and attractive.

(On a positive note, I did manage to hit it off with two people from r/RoleReversal. Two women I met from there find me attractive, I do too, and we talked.)

What about you? Do you know what you want in a relationship?
