But women weren't oppressed for thousands of years. There were just traditional gender roles based on biology and psychology. I doubt society would have been as successful if men were made to take care of the kids (as many feminists love to say) and women go out to hunt, simply because of differences in psychology and physiology of the human body. Society could thrive, but it would be like making an oncologist work on a space ship and a rocket scientist work on a cure for cancer, it could work, but it's far more effective the other way around.

There's literal hundred page documents on this that go into far more detail as it's a far more complex topic than my single paragraph. I hate that same argument popping up and being debunked over and over and over again.

The balancing of the scales as it is right now is pure restraint FROM men, nothing more.

I don’t believe in inequality, by a long shot. Some things were outright unfair towards women and I’m glad they were corrected. But the sheer hatred of men is digging them into a hole they don’t wanna be in and it becomes more apparent the consequences of that every single day.

Sure women have been repressed for thousands of years, so have men! Men have been repressed from their households, repressed from their children, and the comfort of being the berry pickers (to use the hunter/gatherers analogy). Women have equally oppressed men by forcing us into the position of hunters. We have to go hunt or by todays standards bring home the bacon, while women get the comfort of being at home.

Society was built on hunters and gatherers and later on science and physical labor. To this day, when it's illegal to bar women in any field, bricklayers and plumbers remain 98% men.

As for science, I'll leave it alone. I don't know enough about the sciences to know if women overall contribute as much as men when all factors are evened out.
