just saw 2 men talking. this so called successful guy who has just turned 40 and is rich but single and has no kids.. said he's sad, and was told that he needs a child. just so "he can serve without expecting anything in return". And this second guy proceeded to say he's not rich, but feels whole.

I mean... it's kinda what my parents did (and still do) for me. they're unselfish and were always there when I needed. they still check on me even though I'm 30. why should I be different from them?

fuck.. do I need to settle down? I'm always running away from having a serious relationship because I hate the added responsability. can't even picture myself raising a kid.

but you know what? everytime I didn't run away from responsability it has paid off (going through college, courses, getting my promotion).

thoughts on this? "working hard and not giving yourself time to think is the key to happiness". does that even make sense?
