What? Men are literally putting in ALL of the effort to make it happen in the first place, and then they are largely the active parts, deciding what happens, following their kinks through, while the woman is the canvas for their sexuality. At least in casual sex/ONS situations. With relationships, sexual dynamics can change a lot. But overall, people will do the minimum required to get what they want.

Regardless, if sex was so paramount for men, they would by far the sex giving the most attention to looks and fashion and so on, but it seems women are winning on that.

What? Looks and fashion as in lingerie? That is not something men enjoy on themselves for the majority of men. And women do not request it, they are not overly stimulated by visual impressions. if you want men to put in effort regarding their dessous/lingerie, request it or make it a requirement for sex.

I couldn't disagree more. I'm old enough to remember as was a following PUA before many people knew about it. Back doing things like getting in shape, dressing better, and being more social used to do wonders to improve a man's sexs life.

Then what happened was that too many guys started doing it and all it did was raise the bar for everyone. Now all those things are expected just to considered average. Now even average at best girls demand more than that. So much that it's really not even worth it anymore considering what we get back in return. Can you imagine a guy trying to raise his social status today? Now you would need to be on IG racing speed boats in Miami and have some internet fame to get the same results today.

I see guys are putting in too much effort to get sex and it's hurting them long term. I used to work with a lot of young guys. Most of them were working overtime to lease a nice car they can't afford. They spend all their free time in the gym and they're weekends going out trying to some kind of lavish lifestyle all to get sex. They spend so much energy just trying to get sex that there's nothing left to invest in education or business.

Now one the other hand many guys just realize that they're not going to get anything good unless they have a good job, a car, and their own place. So if they don't have that there's no point in even trying because they'll just be wasting their time.

So the smart average guys just give up for now. They focus on finishing school and getting money first. Then once they have that then they can actually be competitive in the dating market.

In order for anyone to make any sense of this post, you are first gonna have to go back and define “little effort” here. By what metric are we even talking? There are plenty of ways men put just as much if not more effort into dating. (Don’t men outnumber women on dating apps like 2-to-1?) Be more specific please.

Edit : Ahh, so you mean things like fashion? It’s simple, fashion is irrelevant to male sexual attractiveness. Fashion won’t suddenly make a man 6 foot or increase his dick size. Fashion won’t make his jawline suddenly chiseled and handsome. The attractive men will pull beautiful women in a basic t-shirt and jeans. Fashion doesn’t really have anything to with sex appeal (for either gender btw.)

Depends. The dolled up k-pop metro trope isn't all that popular standing on its own. Women simply have far wider criteria for men than looks compared to what men desire in women. While cliched as "personality", I think better reference is "he has something going on" (ie social power).

Applying female strategies on straigth males just doesnt work. And vice versa.

That being said, in the gay scene where casual sex is rampant you do see top males on the pole as bottoms. Dominant ones on the other hand are so in demand the physical aspect is secondary.

Back to straigth males, being sexualized is hard. Harder than you can ever imagine because it is a matter of luck (genetics, ethnicity, social background, status) and hard work.

A man has already A LOT on his plate balancing his masculinity, social cues, provider qualities...

Being sexualized is a matter of luck and very low on societys expectation of him.
