I think the comparison to modeling is a better analogy.

In some areas men excel and in others women excel, so men and women should choose their careers appropriately.

When it comes to athletic ability, men and women are not equal which is precisely why we have separate men’s and women’s sports. The irony I find is women athletes complaining when they are in fact earning notably more than men of equal ability.

If female athletes want to complain, I say let’s get rid of sex-specific sports and jet them compete equally against men.

My take on the pay gap in sports is this. Mens sports, I see guys that are good, they are dedicated to perfecting themselves, they prove themselves by their abilities and skills, and that’s how they get viewers like me. I watch Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappe play soccer/football. I watch hulk hogan, Andre the giant, macho man randy savage etc. wrestle. I watch Tyson fury, mike Tyson, Muhammad Ali do boxing and so on and so on. But womens sports. They show case their looks more than anything. I mean great, you have a curvy body, big breasts, big butt, you’re petite, you’re blonde and have attractive looks, but can you play soccer, can you box, or can you wrestle? Can you play tennis better than your opponent. Sports abilities is something that’s hard to find in women and they lack to show those skills sometimes. And that becomes a no for me. If I wanna watch a woman for her looks, at her butt etc, I’ll look at my wife. So now you’ve lost a viewer/fan whatever.

It's such a dumbass argument. The higher pay goes to the most talented, most viewed, most popular, etc. Female sports doesn't bring in the views, isn't popular, and doesn't bring in nearly the same amounts of money. So why would they expect to get the same pay like it's an office job?

The pay gap is nonsensical. You can find a pay gap in many fields if you analyse various factors. A pay gap in and of itself is not bad. If it so happens that the gap is largely due to discrimination, then that would be bad.

But perhaps, it’s because of the ‘patriarchy’?

Back in 2019, US women’s soccer games now generate more revenue than men’s—but the players still earn less. It took years of "complaining" to start to right that statistic.

There are many situations across many fields in which it makes zero sense that women make less than men, and people shouldn't pretend otherwise simply because it fits their agenda or because they want to have a shallow mic-drop comment for some easy karma.
