I thought "Girl interlopers" is an odd phrase to use. It's really just a few assholes, like a lot of stuff. Plenty of women play games. Plenty of women are actual gamers. That's actually good for the market, when we have intelligent but diverse fanbases. But unintelligent fanbases who are dogmatic only cause problems. Your sex/gender just normally doesn't matter in the gaming world. You like games? Good, enjoy them like any normal person. You don't because you think they're misogynistic? Don't buy them and give game makers capital then. We don't need regulation, and developers need no encouragement other than the dollar. Sometimes I think this issue of the gaming industry (Noting that most people acknowledge it as industry) would go away if people understood how capitalism worked. It isn't a perfect system, but you can make changes just by not buying stuff. That simple.

Same thing is happening with comic cons, men started this back in the 70's. There was a stigma attached to it until recently as a place for geeky men in sweat pants and comic books. Then Cos play got big and now all of sudden there's feminist booths at these places, and because vagina ( I love that line) everyone has to change, and plus give us space and money. To make it a non rapey-rape place for women to dress provocatively and demand a right to not be stared at.

Fuck that go start your own convention, put in the hard work over time and then maybe in a couple of decades it'll be a hit and you can set up all damn rules you want.

Stop invading spaces created by men for men and when it gets successful and they barge in and demand everyone changes, because vagina

Now let's not criticize Ms. Sarkesian. She is just doing her best to promote social justice, equality and overall niceness. Nobody has a right to be un-nice in a planned globally fair super-equal utopia, so I will not be un-nice.

If a feminist/SJW becomes the head designer of an AAA title, it would probably result in the studio selling no copies and shutting down.

They whine about over-sexualization of female characters, and lack thereof, but there has been some good strong female leads as of late.

Look at the new Tomb Raider, she is a young, intelligent women who has just finished university, gets stranded on an island and becomes a strong warrior. She is not sexualized either.

Good show, I just gave it a listen. Not necessarily agree that the story doesn't matter in games though. I love me a good story in RPGs and even in action games - see DeusEx or System Shock 2 for examples.
