damn, those comments are savage. not one single supporter. I love it.

[–][deleted] 18 points19 points20 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I was very happy to see that. I’m a therapist myself and I made sure they knew not all professionals buy into that Duluth crap.

EDIT: And, unsurprisingly, they completely refused to respond to these criticisms.

[–]Singulaire 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Hell, even the founder of the Duluth Model later repudiated it.

[+]mwobuddy -7 points-6 points-5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

you cant spell analyze without anal.

[–]putamanoutofaplane 42 points43 points44 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Sometimes a Feminist is so ultra-stupid that she doesn't know that the Feminist ideas should never be discussed in public. They just crumble.

[–]TheJazzProphet 23 points24 points25 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's not that they shouldn't. In fact, it's better that they do so that they can be challenged and disproven.

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which is why they only really talk about this stuff in their safe little echo chamber and ban anything that makes them think.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They're usually aware enough to cling desperately to their safe spaces.

[–]IronJohnMRA 30 points31 points32 points 8 years ago* (5 children) | Copy Link

I have to admit being surprised at the critical comments, as well the voting trends. A year ago this would not have happened, IMO.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points23 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

before #metoo this wouldnt've happened, that movement, albeit very shortlived, woke up a lot of men to what's really happening, forced people to start thinking a bit more critically than they used to.

[–]lethrowaway4me 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

How so? I genuinely have been out of the loop on all this #metoo stuff and would love to know the drama.

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

People are seeing how an entirely baseless claim can cost somebody their job instantly. It's becoming increasingly obvious to people who are willing to look that this movement serves to uphold a narrative and is contrary to real equality. #metoo, as valiant as the cause may be, has turned into the perfect weapon for opportunistic people to smear men they don't like. Of course this doesn't mean that every man accused is innocent, but it does mean that there is no standard of evidence legally. No proof is required whatsoever.

It's really sad to see his hysteria impact real assault victims. It reduces their credibility and sends already scarce resources in the wrong direction .

But what it ultimately comes down to, is the presumption that men are oppressive in society, and women are oppressed. This is true just by observing how easily these men's credibility is Destroyed. To these #metoo advocates, there is no such thing as an innocent man. And that's why more people are waking up to this, because is sexist and anti equality through and through.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

basically every man who ever lived was accused of rape, either directly or indirectly

[–]Newbosterone 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You are right. The Overton window has really shifted.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 27 points28 points29 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

The experts decided men can't be abused and any man that reports abuse is really a monster who needs to be jailed. Those same experts will then cite the lack of male reporting of abuse to back their initial conclusion.

This is how feminism helps men too.

[–]Historybuffman 11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Man, you have a woman that stalks your comments. I glanced through her post history and she is also extremely anti-semetic.

She posts all your stuff in r/againstmensrights and brigades all your posts. Its sad, really.

[–]BloodFartTheQueefer 7 points8 points9 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Their latest post is a doozy. They link the thread by the therapist saying she was unaware of stats showing female perpetrators and paint the response as people not liking her "stats"

[–]Historybuffman 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I was watching that thread and found it interesting that the therapists stopped responding when female-on-male subjects popped up.

Oh! And I googled one of them and she is a "female empowering" therapist, if that tells you anything.

Side note: Your username is very disturbing haha.

[–]Tefai 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If they say they that, why do they count lack of of reporting of rape can be a fact?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It suits their narrative to do so

[–]Tefai 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Just pointing out the fallacy.

[–][deleted] 15 points16 points17 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Everything this person says is just a train wreck, "an expert" in IPV doesn't think men can suffer from it, and when abused must've had it coming.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Which would be bad enough if men were a small portion of those impacted by this. Like a doctor claiming men can't get breast cancer.

Even worse when you consider men face the majority of non-reciprocal domestic violence. So closer to a doctor claiming women can't get breast cancer and he'll refuse to treat any women who pretend they have it.

[–]HotDealsInTexas 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I wouldn't go that far. It's more like a doctor saying women can't have heart attacks.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link

Well technically they can't because when it does happen to them the societal effect is different, and the heart wasn't conditioned to attack her by gender norms, it was probably self defense.

Heart attacks kill men and take mother's, sisters, wives, daughters from men so really men are the sole victims of this terrible disease.

[–]HotDealsInTexas 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I specifically used heart attacks as an anology because there are actual issues with the symptoms being different for women and doctors not being trained to recognize them, but yeah, basically.

[–]Troubleshooter11 8 points9 points10 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bwoaaah, that one's a doozy.

[–]joehilly 18 points19 points20 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

I was heartened when I read the linked post, but when I clicked the actual AMA the comments are overwhelmingly supportive of Duluth. All of the most upvoted posts are typical feminist patriarchy garbage. I didn't even see any posts about the abuse of children by mothers.

This is not a victory imo. Feminists still dominate the discourse. It is absurd that in 2018 and after thousands of studies these academic frauds are able to spread their propaganda with so little pushback. In a sane world this post would have immediately ended up on AMA disasters.

Edit: about half of the comments are now challenging the feminist scum about female abusers. The "experts" are either ignoring the questions or blaming the man. In other cases they are making excuses for mothers who abuse their children.

I think it now qualifies for AMA disasters. It's important to remember that these "experts" actually perpetuate domestic violence, and enable the mass abuse of children. They are the absolute scum of the Earth.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Psh, I'm not surprised. The local place nearby is astoundingly horrendous about females being so innocent and men being vile evil creatures of satan.

If you can even stomach their crap... http://www.cardv.org/aboutdv

[–]BernieSandersgirl101 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That made me bang my head against the wall.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It used to be worse, much much worse. They've revamped it recently... I just can't believe that people trying to help others can buy into this kind of bullshit. Imagine the outrage if we opened a "gender neutral" facility that was meant to mostly treat men and used this exact page with gender terms reversed...

[–]BernieSandersgirl101 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

At least then it'd be one of the few faculties that help men. There are millions for women, we don't need another one.

[–]mwobuddy 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Most acts of domestic violence (more than 95%) are committed by men against their female partners. Domestic violence can also occur in same-sex relationships. Studies show that the majority of women who abuse male partners have been previously abused by these male partners and are now using violence in an effort to get them to stop

Good stuff.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I like the one just slightly lower...

This notion of entitlement is held primarily by men. Women who use violence do not have a sense of entitlement, and often say “they’d better get away from him fast” afterwards because they fear being beaten. When a woman who has used violence in her relationship is asked, “Would you stop using violence today if he would?” she will most often answer yes. Males continue using violence in their relationships whether their partners fight back or not.

Interestingly enough, this sub is becoming the reciprocal via post after post detailing the story of innocent man versus female spawn of satan.

Of course that realization is not very popular, having been stated before and summarily shunned into silence.

People eh? What can you do with 'em?

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Well, when men are shunned into that silence they need a venting point... If they aren't allowed to seek services and help where it's offered then they'll congregate into places like this. I had a 5 year solo life stint and 12 years of celibacy after my violent gf. shrug

[–]4x8x16 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The ones shunned into silence are those pointing out the changing nature of this sub.

The voice of men in this sub is loud and clear with dangerous levels of anger about all manner of problems with women.

If somebody calls attention to the extreme nature of TwoX and other such places, they get a hearty round of applause and much back patting.

If somebody remarks how similar MensRights and TwoX have become...

...WW3 breaks out.

It's gotten so bad they had to sticky a positivity thread in an effort to offset the mass amount of negative.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

We have an advantage and a problem at the same time.

The advantage we have is that the issues we support - people generally support. We are not nuts. The things we think are important ARE genuienly obvious things. It isn't just us.

We have a problem though. The term 'MensRights has been so successfully joined with hate groups and supremacy groups that it poisons any issue it is connected with.

You have an issue with my statement? Don't believe me? I have offended thee?

Prove it to yourself. Try this experiment.

Find someone - anyone. Use a feminist. I suggest you chose a female - but only because I think the results are more meaningful.

Take 20 minutes and discuss topics that are important to MR - BUT DO NOT FRAME THEM IN TERMS OF MENSRIGHTS. Try not to frame them so much as a political thing and more so just a thing and watch the response.

Close with - 'But you know, these are all the things that Mens Rights are about'.

If your experience is like mine you will have a pretty good time for 20 minutes, but when you close.... it is like you came out of the closet as a KKK person.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Been there done that... got accused of being rapist after that

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Specificaly what caused you to be accused of being a rapist?

I find that I can have pleasant conversations with people about these things exactly up to the point that I say 'Mens Rights'.

We have a branding problem.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Talking about rape shield laws, and how a victim is also a witness, ergo, it should be fair play to discredit them as a witness in criminal trials.

[–]GreyTortoise 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I was expecting that AMA to go well for discussing men's issues with a professional who has positive opinions.

It went better than that. We're seeing that esteemed professionals and people in authority over men's lives are being exposed as misandric, prejudiced female supremacists. And people are rejecting it when they are forced to notice.

I've felt a change in the winds lately, and I think 2018 could do it for equality. Have you seen women and true feminists on social media posting about the proven stats of our issues? Have you noticed the recent silence and stagnation of the blatant misandric social media posts? People are stopping being so ignorant of the rotten position men are often put into, they're not okay with the false accusations, the double standards in law and punishment, the difference in compassion. It goes on, we're being heard.

Stay loud, we're going to see this through sooner than we ever believed, I think.

[–]BloodFartTheQueefer 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think we need to push anti-feminists and non-feminists a bit harder in publicly supporting men's issues. For example people like Gad Saad are very popular for criticizing PC and feminism, yet don't cover men's issues at all. (they also frame all problems as harming women only)

[–]GreasedLightning 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Man, I even put some effort into my post there, hoping to get a response...

I didn't know they were taking that kind of angle on this... Come to think of it, it makes me want them to respond even more. My post was about how manipulative my dad's ex wife was.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

/r/mensrights mods , please change this to a np. link.

[–]C4H8N8O8 2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

They can't. Nor is really at risk of being brigraded

[–]genkernels 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

My first thought was "What? I'm pretty sure this sub is going to..." aaaaand then I realized that IAmA is somewhere between 10 and 100 times the size.

[–]mwobuddy 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Isn't it sad? Lets say you're a sane individual and you found this iAmA via r/all. You'd get to have your say and 'ruin the reddit sub' by dissenting voicing.

But no, if you follow the link from here, suddenly its 'brigading' and that's upsetting to the SJW snowflake pieces of shit who run reddit. Two identical activities, one is banned. Its purely there as an excuse to ban politically incorrect opinions.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I just strip the Np before I follow np links, because fuck all, it's a message board and if I want to participate I'm going to. They speak down to things they don't like, why can't I? Equality and fairness, y'know.

[–]mwobuddy 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

basically.

What I do is google the reddit and title of OP, so I can 'enter' through an external channel.

[–]8880886 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

User history shows then spamming several subs with that question, I reported all of them as abussive.
