I was listening to a dating advice segment on the radio this morning on my way to work. A self-proclaimed nice and respectful dude wanted to know why a girl he went on 3 dates with wasn’t responding to his texts. So instead of taking a hint like a normal fucking human being, he goes on a radio show to try to gaslight her into responding to him. The radio show hosts call her and you can hear in her voice how caught off guard she is, I felt so bad for her. She then explains that she cut off contact with this man because he started going through her yearbooks while she was in the bathroom, which is a complete invasion of privacy. The talk show hosts basically told her she was overreacting and to give the man a second shot because he’s a “nice guy.” Oh, and all this time, the guy kept insisting she blocked him because he “used her restroom,” and even after she told him why actually cut contact, he kept bringing it up and offered a toilet plunger as a make-up gift. It was like he was trying to make her look bad by playing up the “nice guy” card. She eventually was pressured into agreeing to go on another date with this NVM.
FDS has made me view this situation completely differently than my old pickmeisha self would’ve. First of all, she should’ve never allowed this creep in her house because now he knows where she lives, and if he’s willing to gaslight her on a radio show for thousands of people to hear, who knows what else he would do. Second, any man who takes going to a woman’s house as a “date” is LV. This is what women get for giving “nice guys” the time of day.
