He's one of those pompous asses who over-complicates simple things to make himself look smarter. I had a headache trying to follow all that. Imagine looking down on someone because they don't understand math the way you're teaching it? The problem seems to lie with him, not her.

Why does he think it’s his job to teach her math? He isn’t her father. And the way he is describing it is confusing. Why didn’t he just say anything times zero is zero. Simple. He is over complicating it with the cups and markers. No idea what the hell he is talking about. She was probably confused too.
