You'd probably want to control something like this based on parent criminality. I imagine more of the single fathers are widowers, not divorced or parents out of wedlock. Mothers get partial or full custody even if they are terrible in this country's divorce courts.

Still I've never understood why it's a forgone conclusion that the mother virtually always gets custody. Beyond the age of 8-10 having a mom around isn't really crucial for development. I'd argue if we are talking about strict necessity (obviously not saying you wouldn't want to have both around), dad is more important beyond the age of 10. You watch and imitate your dad to see what is right vs wrong and how to function in the world, you don't usually get that kind of stuff from mom. Your dad will also encourage you and you have more of a desire to impress him (and therefore acheive / gain skills) than your mom. Generally your dad can pass useful skills along that your mom can't.

I have to agree I’m not sure on statistics but I’ve heard countless times single mothers can’t raise men. Honestly this is truth you got a lot of these men going to prison because they like to argue where do you think they get that from? Their mothers they see their mothers act stupid so they learn it. Then go out in society and think it’s okay to argue with other men because they never had a father to whoop their ass.

I can't agree that all dad's are better parents.

But I will agree that I've seen a lot of single moms who take their child support money and use it on themselves and "the household" and then bash their baby daddy for not giving them enough money, when he's paying the court ordered amount, is barely surviving and she's just pissy she can't get her hair or nails did or go buy something else materialistic.

The one time I dated a single mom we got into an argument that she should be using the child support from her ex husband to buy her son school supplies and new shoes instead of spending it on herself and some new appliances and expecting me to pay for her son.

She tried to act like I was an awful person for not wanting to pay for her son when she herself didn't even want to pay for him.

Mothers are also quite important.

I know who my mother is and I also know my father. But they never raised me. It's complicated. I was raised by a fister dad who wasn't always around. Although he was a very good daddy, the lack of a mom severely hurt me as a child.

My son only has me. His mom died to cancer. I don't think I will ever be able to fill that gap by myself.

Women are more likely to get custody because the feminists have successfully pushed the idea that they will always win in a fight. Yes, 90% of mothers get custody, but that’s because men don’t fight for custody believing they can’t win. When men do fight for custody, they win 45% of the time. The only reason it’s not dead on 50/50 is because the courts favor the primary caregiver so, if the woman has been a stay at home mom, she’ll win and women are, for the most part, the only ones doing stay at home parenting to this day. Is this for real?? Logic left the chat lmao. Let's say those statistics are true, but your reasoning lacks depth. In our society, mothers are less strong/respected parent figure. Fathers are respected and feared of. Children usually don't take moms seriously that's why moms always say "I will tell your dad" to threaten their children not to do something bad. So, imagine there is no dad figure. Mom has a harder time to control her child and things happen. I don't say this is the only reason or so, but at least it is more plausible than the person in the video. You don't use logic. You just hate on moms without a reason. How can one not love someone who they carried for 9 months? (Ofc there are exceptions like in everything.) There is an irreplaceable bond between moms and children that no father has it actually.

My dad wasn’t a great guy and we had a lot of tension growing up after my mom left, but I haven’t been to jail and go to work 5+ days a week and my shit’s handled. So, there’s one supporting his point, I guess.

Men are still in many relevant sectors like politics in charge, right? And if they have a say in things, they probably have a woman. And these women hold leverage over how much sex the man gets. And if he does not work in favors of The Sisterhood (TM) she won’t spread her lips anymore for him.

Therefore: men, just cheat or pay escort services. Get out of the dependency. If that 304 won’t give it to you, get it somewhere else.

I would love to see the research on this, specifically how it handles the issue of probability, i.e. the fact that there are far more single mothers than single fathers.
