Feminism fades away during crisis and comes back when the time is safer than ever.

[–]Tigarana -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

Hi, could you explain to me how conscription is related to feminism?

[–]odysseytree 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Bad time is related with feminism.

[–]Tigarana 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

I asked "how"

[–]odysseytree 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago* (6 children) | Copy Link

Feminism fades away during crisis because then they let men to handle the chaos, rebuild the infrastructure and provide aid to the public by working day and night in ruins.

When the time is good, they come back, demand to make quotas for women in all air conditioned workplaces, demand special privileges for women on the cost of giving losing end to men.

This is what will happen in Ukraine after the war. Lot of refugees will return after the war and so will be the come back of feminism. And now Ukraine is a Fastrack candidate to become a part of EU, feminim movement will reach a new high there once the city is restored enough for men and women to work in air conditioned workplaces.

[–]Tigarana 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

You are still not explaining how it is related, all you are saying is "feminists only care about air-conditioned spaces", as if it's obligatory for them to fight against male conscription.. It is not, you know why? because it has nothing to do with each other

[–]odysseytree -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I told you how it's related. Feminism exists only in good times. That's how are they related.

[–]Tigarana 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Which doesn't relate conscription with feminism AT ALL. You are just yelling at feminists to distract from the real issue. Instead of focussing on crying about feminists, maybe try and rally for men's rights in Russia?

[–]tomahu111 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Feminism portrayed itself as a social movement fighting for gender equality, however it never really takes an issue with really big inequalities that touch men - such as male conscription. The talk about "air conditioned spaces" refers to the fact that feminists push parities for women, that refer to most prestigious/paid/comfortable positions therefore pushing some man out of them, without doing the opposite in female dominated spaces(eg. medicine, social sciences) therefore creating a situation where women are often bringed up at the expense of guys that not only have compete in their field with unfair disadvantage or take a worse position but in most of the planet also be forced to join the army in case of danger to the country, in some of Europe finance state issued retirement for women that get it earlier then them. General issue is that feminism promotes as many privileges for women as it can while still keeping the responsibilities on men. TLDR If you fight for "equality" but only where it benefits a certain group that's not about equality, that's about privilege and that's exactly what feminism does

[–]Tigarana 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

What I don't understand is why you expect feminists to fight for men, while you are complaining about feminism instead of actually taking action against what is happening in Russia..

[–]tomahu111 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I do take action to my humble ability, I paid some cash for protective gear+medical supplies and food for Ukrainian conscripts that were directly delivered by guys I sent the donation to, I support opening borders of my country to conscription age Russians, I try to communicate the ideas and information similar to what is posted on this sub to people around me. Why would I expect biggest gender equality movement to fight for men, the one that is sponsored for my taxes and resources of some of the biggest companies, the movement that expects me to support women? I'm sorry but I will flip the question, why won't the movement whose ideology was forced on me, when I was a child, as the "equality fighting one", one that I am forced to sponsor should fight only for the chosen half for society and actively discriminate the other and still consider itself to have some kind of moral superiority? As someone who pays their fair share of taxes I consider myself entitled to demand feminism to fulfill it's promises, that it used to receive my money for it's goals (because if you leave in EU or most of other countries, that are considered "western" and pay taxes - you also pay for feminist agenda realization and promotion)

[–]Lionheart27778 60 points61 points62 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Everyone is a feminist until the ship starts sinking.

[–]Tigarana -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Hi, could you explain to me how conscription is related to feminism?

[–]Lionheart27778 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Prey tell me , where are the feminist rallies full of strong independent women .......who do not need men to defend them and are being unjustly denied the right of conscription based purely on their gender?

Fair weather Feminism damns itself by its own inaction.

[–]Tigarana -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

First off, feminists fight for equal rights, forced service is not a right it's an obligation. So I'm not sure what point you are trying to make, but it doesn't make any sense to me. If I'm not mistaken, women can still join force, but not forced to? And instead of wanting everyone to be obligated to, they might rather want no one is? So again, what point are you exactly trying to make here? Why are you pointing at feminists for something they have nothing to do with

[–]EpicHajsownik 34 points35 points36 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

>less than 2 million of people as a population

>25% are russians

>still does male only conscription, cause they did it in 40 million ukraine

[–]Ancient_Lithuanian 95 points96 points97 points 3 years ago (72 children) | Copy Link

I can understand why we need that. However, I don't understand why only men get trained. Women should get ready for war to.

[–]Jbr74 71 points72 points73 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Equal rights now

Come one feminists demand it and chant!

[–]Ed-luigi 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think forcing anyone to fight a war is right in any way shape or form. First of all who started these problems ( Government) so while they go home to their families the rest are at risk for their lives, limbs, and their mental state. Absolutely not!!!

[–]Ancient_Lithuanian 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Oh maybe the draft should be abonded when your country is the attacker?

[–]Ed-luigi 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

First of all you don’t know what country I come from. Second this goes for all countries. Third we the people don’t control the government or know what they do behind closed doors. Please read the comment as it clearly states Government.

[+][deleted] -43 points-42 points-41 points 3 years ago (67 children) | Copy Link

So the problem isn’t that you’re rights are infringed upon. The problem is that women’s rights aren’t also infringed upon?

[–]kiaeej 40 points41 points42 points 3 years ago (42 children) | Copy Link

No. The problem is that infringement happening to only 1 side is called inequality! They want equality, they’ll get it! ALL of it, not just the nice bits.

[–]Tigarana -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

i think you mistake some things. Equal rights is not the same as equal obligations. Those are close to opposites.

[–]kiaeej 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

really? how so. so a man is obliged to...go to war. simply for being a man? and a woman's obligation is...?

[–]Tigarana 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is not my point though... As said, feminists fight for equal rights, not equal obligations. Which I think makes sense. That doesn't contradict that you can be against unequal obligations as well

[–]Lionheart27778 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I think you mistake some things lol

Equal rights would be if everyone had the right to opt-out of forced military service, regardless of gender.

But please explain why you think men are "obligated" to defend women....but women are not also "obligated" to defend men.

[–]Tigarana 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

But please explain why you think men are "obligated" to defend women...but women are not also "obligated" to defend men.

Where have I stated that?

[+][deleted] -44 points-43 points-42 points 3 years ago (36 children) | Copy Link

I don’t think anyone should be forced to go to war. But if people are going to be forced to go to war, there are practical reasons to conscript men before women.

[–]Starmind0 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (21 children) | Copy Link

Practical? You mean like how enslaving everyone and making them work is practical for businesses, government, and even human evolution? Right, but that doesn't happen. Guess why.

[+][deleted] -7 points-6 points-5 points 3 years ago (20 children) | Copy Link

If all men and women are conscripted, what happens to kids? If the mother and father of a child can be conscripted, what happens to the kid?

[–]Starmind0 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link

Yet another poor argument by oafs who just enjoy seeing men drafted. Honey, fathers exist. If you're so opposed to equal drafting then go ahead and draft women only, because you know, some has to care for the kids, and fathers can do it.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (18 children) | Copy Link

If we only drafted women and left men at home we would lose the war. The other army would be bigger, stronger, and in general more mentally composed for battle. There’s a reason we have 0 female navy seals. It’s not because they aren’t allowed to try out.

Also what if somebody is pregnant? What if somebody gets pregnant?

[–]Starmind0 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

No we wouldn't. The military and society in general is so lenient towards women that people adapted this thinking that women aren't capable of violence or war, but they are. Even the idea that men hunted while women gathered berries in the past is a myth, they both worked together. Whoever was able to hunt went hunting, and others gathered what they can. Women when actually trained in the military can be strong, but the state of female troopers now? It's like a hobby. Female soldiers wear make up, have longer hair, some trying to have sex or affairs, etc. You expect a strong capable and determined soldier to do that? No. Meanwhile male soldiers are treated harshly, put in the worst conditions, and trained to their limits. After all that, oaf people come up looking at the outcome and think to themselves "Oh! Men are naturally fit for this job". So no, we wouldn't lose. And that's me talking completely about physical capabilities, let alone the fact that we use guns, vehicles, and lots of other weapons which even children can use (and did, in some countries where even children are trained).

And pregnancy? Should be banned. That's their fault.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Men in general are bigger and stronger with denser muscles than women. Not that women can’t be effective in the military, but no amount of training changes the innate physical disparity.

If a man and a woman in a family are both drafted, what happens to the kid?

How do you ban pregnancy? Do you arrest people for being pregnant? What if a woman is pregnant before she is drafted?

These are all questions that have to be answered if women are gonna be included in the draft.

[–]Uncomfortabletomato 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What do you mean by pregnancy should be banned lol I am confused by that comment

[–]kiaeej 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Ofc there are. But no one ever said put women on the frontlines. Conscript them. Use em as artillery spotters. Radio operators. Rearline medics. Gate guards. Drivers.

So many positions that are available for the less physically inclined gender.

[–]Starmind0 18 points19 points20 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nope, I think if they want to introduce that disgusting law, then it should be implemented equally.

[+][deleted] -27 points-26 points-25 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

If everyone, men and women, are conscripted, who will take care of the children in a family who had both parents conscripted?

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points15 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

the soviet state of course!

[–]Peaceandwholsomemes 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

The title says 18 to 27 if I can read right I’m sure there’s enough people over 30 to help

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

What do you mean?

[–]Peaceandwholsomemes 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Meaning people that are older than 30 can still work

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

That doesn’t really answer my question though. If a mom and dad both get drafted what happens to the kid?

[–]Brandwein 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

They can care of themselves or go to war too, no children allowed for a nation that sends men to die.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That’s not a good idea

[–]Starmind0 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link

Do you know what equality is? Do you understand how it works? It means whatever law there is, it should be equal, even if it's desirable or not.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

Everything doesn’t need to be equal, especially if doing so actually hurts the community.

[–]Starmind0 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Hurts the community? The draft already killed millions of men, but you don't care about that, you only care about the "community" (women).

It's true that not everything has to be equal such as equal members of races, genders, etc in jobs, or equal outcome, but rules? Services? Opportunities? Treatment? Those are the core of equality. They make equality, equality. It's a must to be equal.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I do care about that. There shouldn’t be a draft. But drafting women doesn’t make the situation better.

[–]Starmind0 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

No you don't. Otherwise you would have acknowledged how wrong and discriminatory the draft is. You have literally talked about not drafting women more than removing the draft on men. That says a lot, and enough.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

It’s wrong, it’s discriminatory, but it isn’t wrong because it’s discriminatory.

I think I started with saying that the problem with the draft is that it exists, not that it discriminates. You keep saying women should be drafted too, so I’m talking more about that because that’s what we’re debating over.

[–]Starmind0 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Do you realize how close minded you are? You are absolutely not different, and I mean not a single difference, from people who treat races differently claiming one is superior and the other should work for them. It's all based on the same discriminatory and bigoted reasons.

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

You need to listen to Jordan Peterson

[–]Ancient_Lithuanian 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

No. You fight for the thing that secures your and everyone elses' rights far better than the alternative.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I’m sorry, I didn’t understand that. What do you mean?

[–]Ancient_Lithuanian 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

If you don't fight for what you have, you are not going to have it. If you don't fights for your rights and freedom, it's going to get taken away by some asshole like Putin.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I just don’t think people should be forced to fight for their county

[–]Ancient_Lithuanian 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I see it the same way as people are forced to follow traffic rules. It's for your own and other's good.

[–]Jepekula 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Do you have any idea where Latvia is? The other option is genocide, and I think that's a fair bit worse than "rights being infringed".

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Nope. What is happening in Latvia? I am uninformed.

[–]Jepekula 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nothing out of the ordinary right now, but they border Russia, meaning that if they dont have a large and well equipped military, they will be a victim to genocide before you can say "cat".

[–]Algoresball 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The problem is that the burden of defense is being u equally shared

[–]Fearless-File-3625 31 points32 points33 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

Latvia is part of Schengen Area, I would just run away to avoid conscription.

[–]Ancient_Lithuanian 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

You would get fined.

[–]ExMuzzy 19 points20 points21 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

I'd rather pay the fine tbh

[+]Ancient_Lithuanian -32 points-31 points-30 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

It's yearly and the punishment increases. Also, you should find honor in finding for your country. Unfortunately only men do

[–]Fearless-File-3625 24 points25 points26 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

So much honour in dying or getting maimed 🤮

[+]Ancient_Lithuanian -8 points-7 points-6 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So much honor in dying for the life of quality you were given by the previous generations, yes. I consider it shameful letting someone else like Russia screw all the progress on equality, human rights, quality of living and so much more get ruined because of one man's wants. If you don't fight to keep what you have, you are not going to keep it.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Tradcon bullshit.

Funny how things "If you don't fight to keep what you have, you are not going to keep it." never apply to women.

THEY WON'T FIGHT TO KEEP WHAT THEY HAVE YET THEY ARE GOING TO KEEP IT.

[–]Ancient_Lithuanian 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Well they simply should aply to women.

[–]jacare_o 14 points15 points16 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Force that honor on women too, like it's forced on men.

[–]Ancient_Lithuanian -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yes. Some people just lack the wisdom to fight. ( And I'm not talking about those, who can't fight, even in those cases, there are ways to help. )

[–]Starmind0 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Bark about honor to women, not men.

[–]Rich_Ad_7493 12 points13 points14 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Men are responsible for not only defending their countries, but also getting women to agree to give birth. Men don't benefit from being patriotic, and should abandon their countries. Speaking as someone who's fled Taiwan and fed up with that society exploiting men to flatter women.

[–]Significant_Rub6632 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You want women in the armed forces due to equality

I want women in the armed forces so they will bitch around so much the forced conscription will get abolished.

[–]Bound-Submissive 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

No single human should be conscripted. This is so inhumane.

[–]gckman915 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I wholeheartedly agree.

[–]ExMuzzy 16 points17 points18 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

One is a highly likely death sentence, the other option is prison or fine.

[–]mjociv 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Latvia is a NATO country and not currently involved in anything large scale enough where being conscripted is "a highly likely death sentence".

[–]guachumalakegua 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

WW3 here we go. Men those of you who come out of this alive;

Remember how you got here.

Remember those who where not forced to fight beside you

Remember those who didn’t protest that you where force to fight against your will.

Remember those people, and don’t let them do this to you again.

[–]tonyplayzetc 5 points6 points7 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

Well, let's thank Kim Jong-un for making NK one of the only countries that conscripts both genders.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

My problem is that this is happening at all, not that it’s happening to men and not women.

[–]Starmind0 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

Every single MRA hates and rejects the draft because of the draft itself and it's misandry, however, asking to draft women too is how equality works. Something you have absolutely no understanding enough. Oppressed groups will always say "what about us/them", and that's valid. That's how change and progression is made.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

What’s an MRA?

[–]Starmind0 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

A men’s rights activist.

[–][deleted] -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Well, I disagree. I’ll advocate for my rights, but gender roles do exist. We shouldn’t be forced into them, but they aren’t nonexistent.

[–]Starmind0 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And that's exactly why your words are basically going against everyone's here. This is not a gender roles sub, nor is it tolerated. Gender roles don't exist, they are roles created to enforce whatever people want to see or be done. Men and women are free to say, look, do, etc whatever and however they want. You have no place to say you don't like the draft when it's your people who made the draft in the first place because "that's what men should do".

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

A lot of people here have no interest in protecting their rights. They just hate women and have no where else to go to complain to like minded people.

People in a sub can have different opinions about what our society needs and doesn’t need. Doesn’t have to be a hive mind.

Who do you think my people are? First of all, the draft was started long before I was alive, so I can’t take credit for it. But those are your people too.

[–]Starmind0 4 points5 points6 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ha..wowsers! Let me get this straight...an oppressed group demanding equality is hating on the privileged group, but you saying it's men's role to fight and die isn't hate on men? Baby the only one hating on a gender is you, and it's misandry.

Hate is not an opinion, oaf. There are human principles such as "fuck off, you don't own me nor do I owe you". It's not a hive mind to say murder is wrong, nor is it an opinion, it's a fact.

Your people are disgusting traditionalists who enforce fantasy roles because you feel like it. I don't care if you created it or not, you're perpetuating and that's enough. Let me assume something...You're a coward who can't tell women what to do, but is determined to tell men what to do including dying for whatever reason you come up with, and you fear going to feminist places to speak about your oaf gender roles which likely ended up in you getting blocked by them, so you come here to speak your misandry to MRAs because we're more tolerant. Tell me I'm wrong, women-worshipper.

[–]Lalulale 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Wrong, I just strongly believe that everyone should have equal rights.

If a bad law is only applied to a group of society and the rest benefits from it somehow then it is much less likely to be changed.

See for example the votings that wanted to end the conscriptions in Switzerland and Austria. Only young men get conscripted and they were overwhelmingly in favor of ending the conscription, but the rest of society which doesn't get conscripted outvoted them. I am quite sure conscription would be much more likely to be abolished if it affected men and women.

The fourth form will be specialised training for university students, in which it will be required to undergo 50 days of military training a year. This will be at basic level for the first two years of studies, while over the next three years it will be possible to obtain officer qualifications at the National Defence Academy of Latvia.

I can't believe in what I'm reading. This can't be real.. Just think about how would similar, or just any "obligations" of this kind be received if imposed on women?

[–]Nachtlicht_ 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

What's even the purpose of having 50000 army? Just surrender in case of war and let your people live.

[–]Archangel1313 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Gee, thanks Russia.

Guys, men's rights doesn't only need to be about "hurr durr feminism stupid." This event has nothing to do with feminism, and women aren't doing this to men. Latvian politicians are overwhelmingly men, and the idea that women can't fight and should/must be protected is deeply misogynistic.

This is obviously a political move done during a time of war and happening during an increasingly aggressive worldwide swing toward nationalism. Men inevitably suffer during these periods, largely at the hands OF MEN.

Stuff like this is happening all over the world. Can we please support men without centering everything around victimization under women and supposed feminist dominance.

It's getting pathetic at this point, and it only hurts the movement if all we have to talk about is how women suck.

Be better.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

if all we have to talk about is how women suck.

Who said this in this post?

[–]WilfulAphid -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Read every four posts on this thread specifically, and the majority of posts throughout this sub? It's everywhere lol.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Link it or you are lying.

Should be easy if they are everywhere.

[–]WilfulAphid 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

...You genuinely think I'm lying about people on this sub frequently posting anti-women sentiment?

Just to humor you, despite it having almost no bearing on my point, but two posts in this thread share anti-women sentiment:

  1. Significant rub up above literally says that women who are drafting into militaries will cause the drafts to fail due to their bitching.

  2. Rich Ad down below literally says that men gain nothing from patriotism and that society is designed to flatter women at the expense of men.

That's just in this thread. I don't have ability or time to link outside this thread since I'm on my phone and don't feel like jumping through hoops.

My primary frustration is that many men on this sub, which is ostensibly about men's rights and furthering men's causing, is mostly just a place for weak men to whine about how mean women are.

True masculinity is about kicking ass and being excellent and constantly striving to be better than we were yesterday, not crying about the feminists or blaming others for our struggles.

Those beliefs are limiting, self-defeating, and exhausting, and honestly, this exchange only furthered my belief that the men's rights sub is a lost cause.

Peace guys. I really hope we can actually start making productive progress toward goals for the issues men face in the family courts, in dating, and in the growing skills gap between men and women, but we aren't going to get there with constant self-pity.

Until later, be great dudes.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What is this tradcon bullshit?

All I ask for is link of someone saying "how women suck.".

[–]WilfulAphid 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I gave you two examples in this thread alone, dude. You're just fighting to fight now.

Look, the second I stopped focusing on the problems and instead focused on solutions, I achieved my goals:

  1. I obtained my masters degree after not being able to get my bachelor's due to the 2009 recession and now teach at the nearby university.

  2. I've achieved brown belts in Goju Ryu Karate and Danzan Ryu Jujutsu, and I'm working toward discipleship in Wing Chun and Long Fist.

  3. I'm getting trained to become a professional ballroom dance instructor.

  4. I own my own business and was able to double its size in a year.

  5. I've strengthened my marriage and have become incredibly happy in my relationship.

  6. I'm actively working toward writing a novel, which I hope to complete by next year.

The problems men point to in men's rights are often real, but focusing on problems doesn't help. Mobilize! Create support groups! Take action!

It's not enough to recognize the problems. Create solutions, and stop putting energy into feeling victimized. Everyone besides a couple billionaires has lost wealth, power, and privilege in the last fifty years. It's time to get some back.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What two examples?

Give me link to the exact comments. It is literally so easy even a kid could do it.

[–]Brandwein 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Acceptance that men are passive victims too is true masculinity, everything else is just a front to fit into the system.

[+]IdiNahuj69 -24 points-23 points-22 points 3 years ago (31 children) | Copy Link

Bruh, its worth it. In estonia the conscription was never abolished. Every single man in the country has accepted that they too must serve the country. Women even volunteer to join! For small countries such as the baltics this is very needed ngl.

[–]Starmind0 11 points12 points13 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The concept of men's rights is clearly non-existent to you. You have to first acknowledge that no one owes anyone anything. Men don't owe you strength or protection. Second, men aren't disposable. Their lives matter. 3, not all men are the same. Some don't and can't fight, but people like you don't care and rather draft them over women. 4, why don't you say what you just said to women? Bark about honor to them. Bark about standing russia to them. Bark about how necessary it is to them. After all, they're the ones fleeing and leaving you, no?

[–]Fearless-File-3625 17 points18 points19 points 3 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

For small countries such as the baltics this is very needed ngl.

Bullshit. Baltics are in NATO, they don't need conscripts to defend.

Women even volunteer to join!

Mandatory vs Voluntary - What's the difference?

[–]IdiNahuj69 -1 points0 points1 point 3 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Also, the Estonian Defence Force is mainly comprised of reserve troops, these are ordinary people who have done conscription, received training and are ready to defend our nation.

[–]Fast-Mongoose-4989 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If it's necessary why arnt women conscripted.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 8 points9 points10 points 3 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link

Using sweet words to describe involuntary servitude doesn't make it any less heinous. Estonia uses gender based slavery to protect women and the rich men.

If Estonia can't recruit enough volunteers - which is obvious since otherwise they won't need conscription - to defend the country, it doesn't deserve to exist.

[–]IdiNahuj69 3 points4 points5 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If i may ask, where are you from?

[–]Jepekula -5 points-4 points-3 points 3 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link

"Estonians don't deserve to exist because there's no a hundred million of them"

Holy shit what is wrong with you?

"If Estonia can't recruit enough volunteers - which is obvious since otherwise they won't need conscription - to defend the country, it doesn't deserve to exist."

Read.

[–]Jepekula -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

I read it, fucker, and thats exactly what you said. That Estonians don't deserve to exist. Take a fucking brick and shove it down your throat.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

"If Estonia can't recruit enough volunteers - which is obvious since otherwise they won't need conscription - to defend the country, it doesn't deserve to exist."

Try again.

[–]Jepekula 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

And they cant recruit enough volunteers because the nation is small.

Maybe stop trying to defend your nonsense and actually accept what you said.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link

I guess Estonia need to provide more benefits for serving, so more people will volunteer.

[–]Lalulale 2 points3 points4 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I have no idea about Estonia, so it might not apply, but a country that (in todays world) has to rely on sexism and slavery is garbage in my opinion.

For example, I think my own country, Switzerland is garbage. Reason: If you are born with the wrong genitalia you have to either get conscripted or go to prison. Also if you are born with the wrong genitalia your retirement age will be one year later even though your life expectancy is four years less compared to people born with the other genitalia.

[–]IdiNahuj69 -4 points-3 points-2 points 3 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

I am currently serving in the Estonian Defence Forces, it is worth it to me and most estonians. What if Russia were to capture the Suwalki corridor? Who would defend us then? Who would defend us until Nato troops arrive? We, the people. I understand that this might seem as a discriminatory thing to large western countries. It is mandatory because we dont have enough people.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

I am currently serving in the Estonian Defence Forces, it is worth it to me and most estonians.

What about the Estonians who don't want to serve?

[–]IdiNahuj69 -3 points-2 points-1 points 3 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

They avoid it, it is possible to some degree if you REALLY dont wanna go

[–]Fearless-File-3625 6 points7 points8 points 3 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Excuses for state sponsored involuntary servitude and male disposability.

[–]IdiNahuj69 0 points1 point2 points 3 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Eh, I’m not complaining, most arent. With a neighbour like russia, we are determined to defend our country

[–]Fearless-File-3625 7 points8 points9 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

What about those who are complaining?

BTW nice evading the fact that, Estonia has state sponsored involuntary servitude and male disposability.

[–]ArcticWolfEst 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You know what we call those people around here? We call them pussys. People act as if you are going to die there you go there get basic training and in the case of war you actually have a chance at survival I don't understand how that's a bad thing.

[–]Fearless-File-3625 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Those who don't want to be slaves for the rich and women are pussies. lol

Cavemen were smarter.

[–]Brandwein 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I hope you have the guts to shoot your superiors that enforce the conscription. Those are your enemies, the other nations soldiers are not.

[–]IdiNahuj69 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Bruh stfu, thats just moronic. Just because you dont have the will to fight, doesnt mean others should be like that

[–]Fearless-File-3625 1 point2 points3 points 3 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lmao moron. He has the will to say no to state sponsored slavery, you are a just pathetic pawn for the government.
